Configuring Patient Encounter Summary

The Encounter Summary Appearance master file enables you to configure the stored procedures and style sheets that are used to display data for a given specialty appearing in the encounter summary on the Encounter History tab. Note: If the stored procedure and style sheet are not configured on the Encounter Summary Appearance window, the default setting applies to all specialties. Update Stored Procedure and Style Sheet

You can update the stored procedure and style sheet for an existing specialty associated with an encounter. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Encounter Summary Appearance. The EHR Encounter Summary Appearance window opens. Select the available specialty and the stored procedure for the available specialty, and then select Edit. The Edit <Specialty> for a specialty opens. Edit window opens for the respective speciality Note: If you select the Display no data checkbox, the data from stored procedure and style sheet for a specialty do not appear in the encounter details of NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a specialty from the available list. Select a stored procedure from the available list for the selected specialty. Select a style sheet from the available list for the selected specialty. Remove Stored Procedure and Style Sheet

You can remove the existing specialty along with the stored procedure and style sheet linked for an encounter summary. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Encounter Summary Appearance. The EHR Encounter Summary Appearance window opens. Select a specialty that you want to delete, and select Remove.
