Setup Default General Preferences - Chart Tab

The Chart user preferences enable you to make settings that have an impact on specific areas of the Patient Chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM.

  1. From the Default User Prefs - General List window, open a master file.
    The Default User Preferences - General window opens.
  2. Select the Chart tab.
  3. In theDefault Word Processorfield, select one of the following to use as the default processor when creating notes in patient charts:
    • Wordpad
    • Word ®
  4. In theEncounter List Default Displaysection, select from the following options for the default display of encounters in patient charts:
    • Encounter Date: view encounters listed by date.
    • Encounter Number (default): Select this check box to view encounters listed by number.
    • Both: view encounters listed by date and number.
  5. Select preferences for the display and color of the Patient Information Bar inNextGen® Enterprise PM.
  6. In thePreferred Recall Planssection, to manage the display order of plans on theRecall Plan Maintenancewindow inNextGen® Enterprise PM, do one of the following:
    • To display all recall plans in alphabetical order, leave all check boxes blank.
    • To customize the display order, select a recall plan and then select the blue upand downarrows to move the recall plan to the desired order.
  7. SelectOK.
