You can configure specific areas of a patient chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM.
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > General.
The User Preferences window opens.
Select the Chart tab.
In the Default Word Processor field, select one of the following to use as the default processor when creating notes in patient charts:
Wordpad
Microsoft Word ®
In the Encounter List Default Display section, select from the following options for the default display of encounters in patient charts:
Encounter Date: view encounters listed by date.
Encounter Number (default): Select this check box to view encounters listed by number.
Both: view encounters listed by date and number.
Note: You must select at least one check box. If only one check box is selected and you clear it, then the other check box is automatically selected.
Select preferences for the display and color of the Patient Information Bar inNextGen® Enterprise PM.
In the Preferred Recall Plans section, to manage the display order of plans on the Recall Plan Maintenance window in NextGen® Enterprise PM, do one of the following:
To display all recall plans in alphabetical order, leave all check boxes blank.
To customize the display order, select a recall plan and then select the blue upand downarrows to move the recall plan to the desired order.
Set up User Preferences for the Patient Information Bar You can set up the user preferences to display the Patient Information Bar in various areas of NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can also select the Patient Information Bar color.
