Programs Practice Preferences
The Programs practice preference allows you to enable or disable program-related functionality for the practice.
When you select the Enable Programs check box, you can enable Programs in NextGen® Enterprise PM, and the following functionalities are available:
- On the Patient Information tab in Patient Chart, the Programs sub-tab appears. The sub-tab is used to enroll patients in one or more programs.
- On the General tab of the Encounter Maintenance window, the Program field appears. The field is used to link encounters to a program.
- On the General sub-tab of the Encounters tab in Patient Chart, the Program name is displayed for encounters linked to a program.
You must select the Required Encounter Level Programs check box to make the program mandatory for the encounter for specific locations in encounter maintenance. In the Limit to Valid Locations field, you must select the locations for which the program is required.
