Map Master List Languages to a Correspondence Language

Open File Maintenance. Select System , and then select Correspondence Language Mapping.The Correspondence Language Mapping window opens. The Available Language column lists the master list languages available for associating to a selected correspondence language. Correspondence Language Mapping window In the Corr Languages column, select a Correspondence Language. To map an available language to a Correspondence Language, in the Available Language column, select the applicable languages.The selected Available Languages display in the Mapped Language list for the correspondence language. Note: You can use the search bar to find correspondence language and master list languages. In the Corr Language column, select the correspondence language and then do one of the following: Select the double-arrow buttons to promote or demote the correspondence language to the top or to the bottom of the list. This enables you to print or preview supported letter types in multiple languages, after tagging the letter types with the required correspondence languages. Note: English is the default correspondence language. The following rules apply when mapping Master List Languages to a Correspondence Language. A Master List Language is a language entered in the Language master file. Multiple Master List Languages can be mapped to a Correspondence Language. A single Master List Language can only be mapped to one Correspondence Language. After you map a Master List Language to a Correspondence Language, it does not display in the list of Available Languages. Set Up the Language Master List

After you add a new language in the Language Master List the following occurs: The Master List Language report includes the column Mapped Correspondence Language. After you map a master list language to a supported correspondence language, this field is populated. For example, if you map Castilian Spanish to Spanish; Spanish(ES), displays in this column. After you add the new language, it displays in the Correspondence Language Master File on the Correspondence Language Mapping window in the Master List Languages list. Access File Maintenance. Adding a correspondence language in the Patient Information > Demographics tab for a patient enables you to print or preview letters and statements in the patient's preferred correspondence language. You can also generate certain reports with the correspondence language information. You must map master list languages to a correspondence language and then tag a correspondence language to letter types for printing or previewing the letters. For the Corr Lang link to appear in the Patient Information window, the Enable multi-language for PM on the General tab of the Enterprise Preferences must be enabled and at least one Letter Type in Practice Preferences > Forms > Enable Multi Language > Letters list must be selected.
