Viewing Which Libraries Are Practice Defaults

Some libraries can be selected as default libraries to be used by a practice. In File Maintenance, you can view which libraries are defined as default libraries for the practice you are logged into. Diagnosis Codes Library

With the Diagnosis Codes library, you can create a subset of the full ICD-CM list, which simplifies the coding process. Because there are more diagnosis codes than one practice would ever use, you can select the codes that are used the most in your practice, then set them up in a library. The libraries are available enterprise-wide. However, each practice designates which Diagnosis Codes library to use from the Chart Practice Preferences. You can generate Diagnosis Codes Master report from the Diagnosis Codes library. Set Up Diagnosis Codes Library General Equivalence Mappings Utility You can use the ngconfig file to locate the path of the components folder.

Libraries

NextGen® Enterprise PM provides some default libraries. These libraries are a subset of preloaded code sets or diagnosis codes. You can select the codes for your practice or enterprise and set them up in a library. Multiple practices in an enterprise can subscribe to an existing library instead of each practice setting up a new library that contains the same information. You can print a list of the libraries by selecting the open menu button , then select Print. The report filter for the library opens. Select your report settings, and then select OK. A Diagnosis Code Library is a subset of the full ICD9CM list in master files. This subset can simplify the selection and maintenance of codes. Open the Libraries You can use the libraries in File Maintenance for default settings and user-defined data. You can select the default libraries that your practice uses. The selected libraries apply to all payers that do not have a different library assigned at the payer level. You can override these practice-level default libraries by selecting different libraries for specific payers. Add Libraries to Practices

Libraries are linked to the payer and specific to the current practice. You can select default libraries for the practice, and they will be used everywhere. Open the File Maintenance. Open the System > Practice > Payer master file > Practice. Select the Libraries tab. Select the necessary libraries and settings. Note: Libraries are available only when the current practice has practice access to them.
