Enter Values for the Task Type Auto Tabs

To enter a numeric value for Auto Creation/Completion:
  1. From any of the Auto tabs on the Task Types dialog box, select the action that requires the entry of a value (indicated by a 0 or <unknown>) by selecting in the Activate column next to the action.
    A green check mark displays.

  2. Right-click on the Action name that you selected, and then select Open.
The Task Type Options window displays.

  3. Enter a value in the Parameter fields. Depending on the action selected, the number of parameter fields displayed and the method of entering a value will vary. Enter the value for each parameter field by using the appropriate method:
    • Typing an alphanumeric entry
    • Selecting the up and down arrows
    • Selecting the drop-down arrow and selecting a value from the list
    • Selecting multiple items. Select the Open Record button, then use the arrows to move items from the Available list to the Included list.
    • If the Source Type is Account or Encounter and the Action is on the Auto Creation tab, you can select an aging date when this text is part of the action: greater than <Unknown> days old.
    • If the Source Type is Encounter and one of the parameters is Financial Class/Payer, you can read more details about how to enter the parameter values in Defect 1149 - Selecting a Financial Class or Payer for Task Types (v5.4).
An alphanumeric entry may be used to enter a dollar value. Dollars can be entered as whole dollars or with a decimal point.

In this example, the number 30 was entered for the first value and 5 (followed by 0.00, which was automatically entered in this field) for the second value. The application drops these values into the task description. After selecting OK, the original task description of Account is greater than 0 days old and guarantor balance is greater than $0.00 changes to Account is greater than 30 days old and guarantor balance is greater than $50.00.

  4. Select OK.
