Forms

You can create and modify templates to standardize patient forms that are used by your practice. The form templates determine the structure for patient forms, such as where certain information must be placed on the form. For example, if you have pre-printed fee tickets, you can set up a template to your specifications. You can create label templates for mailing labels, chart labels, form labels, or any other labels you need. To design your own forms, you need to access the Forms Templates master file from File Maintenance > System > Forms master file. Statement Logos for Practice and Location

A logo can be imported into NextGen® Enterprise PM for each Practice and/or Location. Logos are imported in NextGen® Enterprise PM, by selecting File > Tools > Image Explorer. For more information on importing logos, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Practice Workflow Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM and then refer to the Image Explorer section. When imported, either the practice logo or the location logo prints on individual demand statements and on batch statements. The logo that prints is determined by the Print One Statement setting on the Statement Options window. You can generate statements with a practice logo or location logo in the Statement Options window by selecting For Each Practice or For Each Location in the Print One Statement field, and then selecting Print or Export. Note: If an account has encounters for multiple locations, the practice logo will print on the statement for that account. Parent topic: Resetting Statement Print Dates

Modify Layout and Preferences NextGen® Enterprise EHR

You can modify a configuration for the layout that you want to display on NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Application Appearance. The EHR Application Appearance window opens displaying the preview of the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, Encounter History, and Categories for the Default configuration. Select the required configuration from the list. Note: The EHR Application Appearance window displays a preview of the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, Encounter History, and Categories based on the settings in the selected configuration. To view a configuration associated with a practice, select Look up by Practice, select a practice from the list, and then select OK. The configuration associated with the practice appears in the configurations list. Note: Once you associate a practice with a configuration, it cannot be associated with any other configuration. Set Up Practice Preferences for Dental Billing

Dental billing in NextGen® Enterprise PM requires specific settings in Practice Preferences. Two Charge Entry options must be enabled to display dental fields on the Charge Posting window, and one Claims option must be enabled to enable the three Qualifying Encounter check boxes on the General tab of the Service Items library. Access Practice Preferences. From the Preferences List, select Charge Entry. To display Tooth, Surface and Quadrant fields on the Charge Posting window, select the Display tooth, surface, quadrant check box. To allow multiple selections in the Surface field on the Charge Posting window, select the Allow multiple tooth surfaces check box. Practice Preferences From the Preferences List on the left, select Claims. To enable the three Qualifying Encounter check boxes on the General tab of the Service Items library, select the Enable Qualifying Encounter Billing check box. Select Reason Codes Options in Practice Preferences

You can select reason codes options in the Transactions practice preference. Do one of the following: In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin > Preferences > Practice. In File Maintenance, select Master Files > System > Practices. Double-click the practice, and then select Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. In Preference List, select Transactions. Print Letters on Pre-Printed Letterhead

You can print letters with your practice’s logo on pre-printed letterhead. After you set the options to print on letterhead, the letter header information is suppressed and additional space is added to the top of the letter. Do one of the following: In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Admin menu and select Preferences, and then Practice. In File Maintenance, select System Master Files, then PM, and then Practices. The Practice List window opens. From the list, double-click to open the desired practice. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. In the Preference List on the left, select Forms. In the Header Options section, clear all the check boxes. Note: If all Header Options check boxes are not cleared, then the information for those that are selected prints in the header section on your letterhead.
