Show Hidden Empty Task Workgroups

Open Master Files > Practice > PM > Task Workgroups. The Task Workgroups List window opens. Select Include Hidden Items. A list of task workgroups including hidden task workgroups opens. Hidden task workgroups are identified by _Empty beside the name. Select any hidden task workgroup, right-click and select Unhide. The following message appears if there are no members in the task workgroup with pending tasks. Select OK. Select the hidden task workgroup, and then select Open Menu. Select the folder icon. The Users window opens. Move users from the Available list to the Included list using the arrows and select OK. The Task Workgroups window opens. Select OK to the Task Workgroups window. The Task Workgroups List window opens. The task workgroup is no more hidden. For the empty task workgroups with pending tasks (where _Empty was added to the workgroup name) the _Empty indicator is automatically removed from the task workgroup name after the addition of users and un-hiding of the task wo

Task Workgroups

You can create Task Workgroups that contain users who are designated to perform a specific type of task. Task Workgroups provide an efficient way of assigning tasks to all relevant users at once. For example, you can create a Task Workgroup named Billers that includes all the users who bill patients. When you create a task, you can assign the task to a Task Workgroup in the NextGen® Enterprise PM Worklog. You can assign the default Task Workgroup when you set up task types in the Task Types master file. You can also assign one or more locations to a Task Workgroup. Creating Tasks

Create a Location-Based Workgroup

Once workgroups are assigned to the location, you can assign the Location Workgroup to any task. Then, when the task fires, it will look to the location assigned to the patient’s encounter to determine which workgroup the task needs to go to. Select the Workgroup Category field once to type a workgroup label that you will assign your existing workgroups to as built in File Maintenance, or twice to select the label from the Ainf Tasking View Lwg picklist. The picklist is built from all workgroup categories you have typed in. Select the Add button. The category is saved. All of your locations appear in the grid. Select a location in the grid. The location name enters the field below the Location column of the grid. Select the field below the Workgroup column of the grid. Select the workgroup for the location, and then select OK. Add a Workgroup Category

If the desired workgroup category is not listed, you can add a category. You can do this either by typing a category or selecting one from a picklist. On the Tasking Configuration practice template, expand the Tasking Workgroup Setup panel. Click the Location Workgroup Category field. If you click once, you can type in the field. You can also double-click the field, and select the desired category from the window that opens. An Add button appears when there is an entry in the field. Task Subgrouping

Subgrouping helps to categorize tasks into groups, so users can easily manage, process, and report on tasks. To setup the subgrouping task: Rename the subgrouping fields by typing new field labels in Enterprise Preferences General tab in the Task Subgrouping fields. If these fields are blank, the labels for the fields in all areas display as Task Subgrouping 1 and Task Subgrouping 2. The subgrouping labels defined in Enterprise Preferences display: For fields that you can use to categorize a task in the Task Types master file in File Maintenance For fields that you can use to categorize a task in the Add/Edit Task window in NextGen® Enterprise PM For fields in the Worklog Manager search criteria On the tab labels for the report filter for various task-related reports As column headings on reports Define subgrouping categories in the Task Subgroupings master list.
