Imaging Component Toolbars

Use Imaging Component toolbars to annotate the images in a patient's medical history with specific, pre-selected medical buttons (imaging components). Your system can have as many Imaging Component toolbars as necessary. The availability and display of existing Imaging Component toolbars is dependent on your user settings and your user rights and permissions. The EHR Imaging module subgroup in the System Administrator application sets the rights and permissions for the below NextGen® Enterprise EHR Imaging: Boilerplate Settings Imaging Component Sets Imaging Component Toolbars Imaging Components Subgroup Used in Description Boilerplate Settings NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to create boiler plates for images being used in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Imaging Component Sets NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to create, edit, and delete groups of like imaging components (stamps) that can be applied to toolbars. Imaging Component Toolbars NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to create, edit, and delete toolbars of imaging components. Imaging Module

The Imaging module enables you to use clinical images while working with a patient’s medical record in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can only access the Imaging module when an image is saved to the patient's chart. With the module, you can open existing images to modify, illustrate, annotate, convert, and save them to a patient's history. You can also scan an image, perform necessary modifications, and then save it. Each image is cataloged by patient, date, and title. From the Imaging module, you can add, modify, print, or delete Quicknotes, or add provider signatures to NextGen® Document Management images. Modification or annotation of NextGen® Document Management images is not enabled. Edit an Imaging Component Toolbar

Access the Imaging module. Right-click the displayed image, or from the Main menu select one of the following: Imaging Components ToolBars > Current Toolbars Imaging Components ToolBars > My Preferred Toolbars The Imaging Component ToolBar Selection window opens. Imaging Component ToolBar Selection To display the Imaging Component toolbars shared by your practice, select the Practice ToolBars check box. To display your personal Imaging Component toolbars in the list, select the My ToolBars check box. Select the Imaging Component toolbar to edit. Do one of the following: Right-click the toolbar, and then select Open. Select the Open button from the menu. The Imaging Component ToolBar Builder window opens. Imaging Component ToolBar Builder Enter changes as needed to the following: Edit the name of the Imaging Component toolbar. Add or edit toolbar notes. Add or delete imaging components. You can create an Imaging Component toolbar for easier access to imaging components. Access the Imaging module. Right-click the displayed image, or from the Main menu select one of the following: Imaging Components ToolBars > Current Toolbars Imaging Components ToolBars > My Preferred Toolbars The Imaging Component ToolBar Selection window opens. Imaging Component ToolBar Selection Do one of the following: In the window, right-click, and then select New. Select the Open Menu button, and then select New. The Imaging Component ToolBar Builder window opens. Note: Use the Imaging Component ToolBar Builder window to import new or edit existing imaging components, and to add, edit, or delete imaging component sets. Imaging Component ToolBar Builder Enter a name for the Imaging Component toolbar. If necessary, add a description or additional information for the toolbar in the Note field.
