Update Therapy Goals

On the Objective template, in the Goals panel, click the Add button to launch the Therapy Goals template. On the Therapy Goals template, highlight a row in the Added goals grid. The edit fields above the grid display details for the selected goal. Make any changes in enabled edit fields. Click Update. The Added goals grid displays the updated goal. Click Save & Close to return to the Objective template. The information appears in the Goals panel. Parent topic: Patient Goals

Patient Goals

The Goals panel displays the therapy goals documented by the provider on the Therapy Goals template. Any additions to the grid must be made on the Therapy Goals template. Physical Therapy Goal Administration

Therapy goals used on the Therapy Goals template are configured on the PT Goal Administration practice template. Therapy goals are based on information documented for the reason for visit, History of Present Illness (HPI), and physical exam for the patient. Preconfigured therapy goals configurations are packaged with the system. You can add customized goals and modify or remove existing ones. Configuring goals requires knowledge of the template name and the field name that you wish to use for creating a goal. Fields in the Field Selection section at the top of the template are used to add or update goals in the grid. Configured goals appear in the Saved available goals grid. Therapy Goals

The Therapy Goals sub-navigational link launches the Therapy Goals template where goals are documented. Documenting patient goals has been simplified by automating the population of goals in the template based on information documented for reason for visit, History of Present Illness (HPI), and physical exam for the patient. Examples of data that populate in the grid include observation, strength, and pain. Physical Therapy goals are packaged with the system and can be configured on the PT Goal Administration practice template. Therapy Goals can also be reviewed and updated in the Goals panel on the Objective tab. Add Therapy Goals Manually

You can manually add each goal. Note: Alternatively, you can quickly add standard goals by using QuickPicks. See QuickPicks. If you do not want to use picklists to enter goal details, you can turn them off in the Practice Config practice template in the Legacy Picklist Functionality setting of the Goals panel. Open the NTS Therapy Goals template. NTS Therapy Goals template Enter all the details that are required for saving the goal: In the Type field, select the type of goal. Enter the Goal and Function. Enter the total number of weeks the patient is expected to achieve the goal. If necessary, in Response to Treatment, document the patient’s treatment response for the goal. For example, you could enter the treatment response as the percentage of goal completion. In Status, you can select the status of the goal or leave the field blank. For example, you can capture the patient’s current status towards achieving the goal or the status when the patient was initially transferred mid-treatm

Configure Physical Therapy Goals

From the File menu, select System/Practice Template. Click the Practice tab. Set Show to All. Scroll down and double-click PT Goal Administration. The PT Goal Administration template opens. Goal Administration Click the Template name field to select the name of an HPI or PE template from the list. Click the Table field to select the name of a table from the list. Click the Field field to select the name of the field from the list. Click the Goal type field to select the type of goal from the picklist. Click the Custom description field to type in a description. Click the Value mask field to type in a numeric value. Click the Value translation field to enter an interpretation for the value entered in the Value mask field. Click the fields for Normal values and enter one or more normal values for the goal. By default, the Normal values fields display ‘NULL’. Up to four normal values can be entered by replacing the value NULL. If not using a normal value field, it should be left displayin
