Add Therapy Goals Manually
You can manually add each goal.
Note: Alternatively, you can quickly add standard goals by using QuickPicks. See QuickPicks. If you do not want to use picklists to enter goal details, you can turn them off in the Practice Config practice template in the Legacy Picklist Functionality setting of the Goals panel.
- Open the NTS Therapy Goals template.
- Enter all the details that are required for saving the goal:
- In the Type field, select the type of goal.
- Enter the Goal and Function.
- Enter the total number of weeks the patient is expected to achieve the goal.
- If necessary, in Response to Treatment, document the patient’s treatment response for the goal.
For example, you could enter the treatment response as the percentage of goal completion.
- In Status, you can select the status of the goal or leave the field blank.
For example, you can capture the patient’s current status towards achieving the goal or the status when the patient was initially transferred mid-treatment to the practice.Note: You are not required to enter a status for new goals.
- If necessary, view clinical content from the Subjective panel, Objective panel, and Comments fields that might be useful by selecting one or more of the following links:
- To view the Injury Grid, Subjective Grid, and Comments field from the Subjective panel, select the Subjective link.
The NTS Subjective Review template opens and is read-only.
- To view the Exams grid, Comments field, and Notes grid from the Objective panel, select the Objective link.
The NTS Objective Review template opens and is read-only.
- To view the comments from the Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan panels, select the Review Comments link.
The NTS SOAP Comments template opens, and you can modify the comments. For more information, see Review, Modify, and Copy Comments.
- To return to the NTS Therapy Goals template and continue creating the goal, select the Goals link.
- To view the Injury Grid, Subjective Grid, and Comments field from the Subjective panel, select the Subjective link.
- To save the goal to the Goals grid, select Add.
