Voiding Charges

You can void the processed charge from the encounter on the Charge Posting window. A voided charge remains on the encounter. The original charge amount and quantity are automatically reversed.

You cannot void a processed charge with an unposted transaction. You must remove the transaction if you want to void the charge. You can void a processed charge with a posted transaction. The posted transaction results in a credit balance on the voided charge.

The Void button on the Charge Posting window is available for the following:

• Processed charges with no transactions.
• Processed charges with auto-adjustments.
• Processed charges with posted transactions.
