Print Enhanced Forms

Wherever you can print Forms in NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can select to print Forms Enhanced. The Print Forms window includes separate tabs for each type of form. Note: The below procedure is also used to print Fee Tickets or Patient Data Sheets that are setup as Enhanced Forms in File Maintenance. This procedure replaces the legacy Print > Fee Tickets or Print > Patient Data Sheets menu options that are used to print the "standard" version of these forms. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Print > Forms option from a right-click menu. The Print Forms window appears. Select the Forms Enhanced tab. The Form Group field defaults to (All Forms). This allows you to select and print forms from any group. Select a specific Form Group to select and print forms from that group only. In the Forms section, select the form(s) to be printed. All forms are selected by default. Select the Sort button to modify the sort for a specific form, if needed. The sort is used only when the form is print

Capture Electronic Signatures on Multiple Forms

You can capture electronic signatures on multiple forms. On the Forms Enhanced tab, select all the forms for which you want to capture electronic signatures and then select Preview. A message appears asking for a confirmation that you want to open all selected forms. Select Yes. All the selected forms open. To sign the first form, select the SIGN THIS DOCUMENT button. Capture electronic signatures Capture Electronic Signatures in the form and close the form. A message prompting you to confirm whether you want to archive electronically signed forms appears. This message appears whenever you close an electronically signed form. Select Yes to archive the form. The next form appears. Follow the above steps to capture electronic signatures on all the forms. NextGen PM Electronic Signature Window - Field Descriptions

The following table describes the fields of the NextGen PM Electronic Signature window. Field Description Esignature Tags panel Includes Esignature Tags and System Esignature data fields under each tag. For example, if the Patient Esignature Tag appears twice in a form, then the Esignature Tags panel displays the tag name, which is Patient, and the number of times the tag appears as Esignature 1 and Esignature 2 under Patient. If you do not assign an Esignature Tag to an Esignature data field in File Maintenance, then then system automatically assigns a tag as Default and displays as Default 1, Default 2 and so on. Capture Window section Begin Capture Begins capturing electronic signatures and activates other fields in the Capture Window section. Clear/Restart Clears the electronic signature. You can sign again after selecting Clear/Restart. Done Captures the electronic signature. Cancel Cancels the electronic signature. You must select Being Capture again to capture electronic signatu

Forms Enhanced

Forms Enhanced allows you to create more advanced forms than those created in the legacy Forms master file. With Forms Enhanced, you can create forms for electronic signatures, patient correspondences for documentation purposes and more customized options for alternate fee tickets and patient data sheets. Forms Enhanced also allows you to create form groups, allowing you to print multiple pages of a form and multiple forms at once. To create an Enhanced Form, you must first create at least one Form Group. For more information on how to create a Form Group and Enhanced Forms, see Create New Enhanced Form. Field Description Form Group Lists of new forms created and saved into groups; the groups can be used to categorize forms (for example, Consent Forms) or group them together form printing purposes (for example, New Patient Registration Forms). Capture Electronic Signatures

You can capture electronic signatures on an enhanced form using an electronic signature pad. On the Print Forms window, Forms Enhanced tab, select a form that you want to sign and print. In the Copies section, enter the number of copies you want to sign and print. Select Preview. The form opens displaying the SIGN THIS DOCUMENT button above the form. Note: The SIGN THIS DOCUMENT button appears only if you have installed and configured an electronic signature pad and the form contains a System Esignature data field. Select SIGN THIS DOCUMENT. The NextGen PM Electronic Signature window appears. In the Esignature Tags panel, select an Esignature to sign. For example, Esignature 1 under the Patient esignature tag. Select Begin Capture to enable the electronic signature pad and activate the Capture Window section. If you are using an IntegriSign electronic signature pad, then a window opens displaying the Signer Name. You can sign and select OK to proceed. Sign on the electronic signature p

Electronic Signature Hot Keys

Selecting an esignature tag in the NextGen PM Electronic Signature window enables you to use the following hot keys. Hot Keys Description Alt + B Begin capture Alt + L Clear/Restart Alt + D Done Alt + C Cancel Alt + R Reset Alt + C Close Note: Cancel and Close has the same hot key.
