Daily Charges By Current User Report

The Daily Charges By Current User report is a line item based report that shows charges created by the user that is logged into NextGen® Enterprise PM when the report is generated. The report can be used to provide a detailed listing of charges for auditing, balancing and productivity purposes. The Daily Charges and Daily Charges By Current User reports are almost identical. Columns available on the two reports are the same. Filters available on the two reports are also the same, with a couple of exceptions. Creator and Locations filters are not available on this report. These filters are not needed since the report shows only charges created by the current user for all locations. To access the report in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Reports menu and select Daily and then select Charges by Current User. Billed Encounters Report

The Billed Encounters report is encounter based and shows every billed encounter for a specified date range. It displays the data under the primary payer or financial class on the encounter. For charges to show on the report, the charge must meet the criteria selected on all filters. Note: This report is identical to the Daily Encounters and Unbilled Encounters reports. The only difference is that each report has different encounter statuses pre-selected on Filter 1. There are several configurable filters available on the Settings List of the Report Filter window. Select the desired filters to narrow the data on the report. The report has "drill-down" functionality that enables you to double-click on a record to access the Patient Chart window directly from the report. The UnBilled Encounters report is encounter based and shows every billed encounter for a specified date range. It displays the data under the primary payer or financial class on the encounter. Daily Reports

The Daily reports provide the ability to run reports with full detail. These reports have “drill-down” functionality that enables you to double-click on a record to view or edit its details. The daily Adjustments, Payments, and Refunds reports can be generated By Encounter or By Line Item. These options relate to how the Financial Class and Payer information logic works on the reports. By Encounter: Charges and transactions are attributed to the primary payer on the encounter. For example, if a patient has Medicare primary and Blue Cross secondary, then charges are reported as Medicare, and all transactions posted against those charges are also reported as Medicare. By Line Item: Charges are attributed to the primary payer on the encounter, and transactions are attributed to the actual payer. For example, if a patient has Medicare primary and Blue Cross secondary, then charges are reported as Medicare, all Medicare transactions are reported as Medicare, and all Blue Cross transactions

Aging Analysis by Encounter Report

The Aging Analysis by Encounter report is an encounter-based report that shows the total outstanding balance for each encounter by aging category. You can filter the report by Process Date on Filter 1 so that you can retrieve data from any point in time. However, the history of changes to the encounter status over time is not stored. Therefore, if using the Process Date filter, select all encounter statuses for an accurate report. If you run the report for balancing totals to other reports, then you must select all Enc Status check boxes on Filter 1 (Bad Debt, Billed, History, Rebill and Unbilled). If you run the report for tracking the total outstanding A/R, then you should select the Billed, Rebill, and Unbilled Enc Status check boxes on Filter 1. Multiple Encounter Rates Per Day Report

The Multiple Encounter Rates Per Day report enables you to track and report on patients that have multiple same day/same payer encounters where Encounter Rate Billing may have applied an encounter rate SIM code and dollar amount to more than one encounter for the day. Note: This report is available only if Encounter rate billing is enabled in Enterprise Preferences > General tab. Data on the report can be filtered using options available on the Report Filter window: Filter 1 options include Encounter Date range, Payer Type, and the ability to include or exclude Encounter Rate Billing Statuses for primary and/or secondary encounter rate payers. The Encounter Rate Billing Status is updated for encounters on Encounter Maintenance > Billing & Collections tab during the billing process.
