Daily Charges Report

The Daily Charges report is a line item report of daily charges by service item. This report is sorted based on location name, Encounter/Invoice number, and service item. Totals are for charge amount, with a subtotal for each location, and grand total of all locations. You can total the Count column of the Daily Charges report using the Totals tab on the Report Filter. Since the Count column is the Quantity of SIMS per charge, this gives you the total number of units for all charges. This sum can then be compared and matched to the sum of all charges on the Monthly Provider Productivity by RVU, the Service Item Summary with Extended Amount and Transactions, and the Transaction Summary reports. NextGen Healthcare recommends that you only choose one of the Filter 1 date ranges (create date, process date, or service date) to generate a meaningful report. Daily Encounters (Encounters Listing) Report

The Daily Encounters (Encounters Listing) report is encounter based and displays every encounter for a specified date range. The report is sorted by practice, location name, rendering provider, payer name, financial class, and the encounter date and number. Totals are sum of charge amounts, and average of encounter age, with a subtotal for rendering provider within each practice, subtotal for each practice, and grand total of all practices. You also have the option to show the number of charges per encounter and generate the total sum of the number of charges for all the encounters listed. The totals generated by default include the total per encounter, the total count for all encounters for each provider, each location, and the practice. Note: This report is identical to the Billed Encounters and Unbilled Encounters reports. The only difference is that each report has different encounter statuses pre-selected on Filter 1. Daily Charges By Current User Report

The Daily Charges By Current User report is a line item based report that shows charges created by the user that is logged into NextGen® Enterprise PM when the report is generated. The report can be used to provide a detailed listing of charges for auditing, balancing and productivity purposes. The Daily Charges and Daily Charges By Current User reports are almost identical. Columns available on the two reports are the same. Filters available on the two reports are also the same, with a couple of exceptions. Creator and Locations filters are not available on this report. These filters are not needed since the report shows only charges created by the current user for all locations. To access the report in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Reports menu and select Daily and then select Charges by Current User. Transactions by Line Item Summary Report

Daily Reports

The Daily reports provide the ability to run reports with full detail. These reports have “drill-down” functionality that enables you to double-click on a record to view or edit its details. The daily Adjustments, Payments, and Refunds reports can be generated By Encounter or By Line Item. These options relate to how the Financial Class and Payer information logic works on the reports. By Encounter: Charges and transactions are attributed to the primary payer on the encounter. For example, if a patient has Medicare primary and Blue Cross secondary, then charges are reported as Medicare, and all transactions posted against those charges are also reported as Medicare. By Line Item: Charges are attributed to the primary payer on the encounter, and transactions are attributed to the actual payer. For example, if a patient has Medicare primary and Blue Cross secondary, then charges are reported as Medicare, all Medicare transactions are reported as Medicare, and all Blue Cross transactions
