Activity Detail Report

The Activity Detail report enables you to gain an overview of the charges, payment, refund and adjustment activity that has taken place in the system during a specified time frame. To access the report in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Reports menu and select Daily and then select Activity Detail. Note: This report can be enabled to use enhanced reporting functionality. For more information, see Enhanced Reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Report Filter window, select the Info button to view the following information about the report: Logic: Returns all charges within the filtered date range and all transactions within the filtered date range. One line for each charge and one line for each line item of a posted transaction is displayed. The charges report against the primary payer on the encounter. Daily Charges Report

The Daily Charges report is a line item report of daily charges by service item. This report is sorted based on location name, Encounter/Invoice number, and service item. Totals are for charge amount, with a subtotal for each location, and grand total of all locations. You can total the Count column of the Daily Charges report using the Totals tab on the Report Filter. Since the Count column is the Quantity of SIMS per charge, this gives you the total number of units for all charges. This sum can then be compared and matched to the sum of all charges on the Monthly Provider Productivity by RVU, the Service Item Summary with Extended Amount and Transactions, and the Transaction Summary reports. NextGen Healthcare recommends that you only choose one of the Filter 1 date ranges (create date, process date, or service date) to generate a meaningful report. Daily Encounters (Encounters Listing) Report

The Daily Encounters (Encounters Listing) report is encounter based and displays every encounter for a specified date range. The report is sorted by practice, location name, rendering provider, payer name, financial class, and the encounter date and number. Totals are sum of charge amounts, and average of encounter age, with a subtotal for rendering provider within each practice, subtotal for each practice, and grand total of all practices. You also have the option to show the number of charges per encounter and generate the total sum of the number of charges for all the encounters listed. The totals generated by default include the total per encounter, the total count for all encounters for each provider, each location, and the practice. Note: This report is identical to the Billed Encounters and Unbilled Encounters reports. The only difference is that each report has different encounter statuses pre-selected on Filter 1. Transactions by Line Item Summary Report

The Transactions be Line Item Summary report breaks each rendering provider's transaction into adjustments, payments, and refunds. It also shows the extended charge amount for each provider. It is sorted by practice, location name, and rendering provider. Totals are for count (how many of each) of each transaction type (adjustment, payment, refund), and total dollars for each transaction type, with a subtotal for each rendering provider, subtotal for each location and grand total of all locations for each practice. NextGen Healthcare recommends that you only choose one of the Filter 1 charge date ranges (create date, process date, or service date), and only one (if any) transaction-type date to generate a meaningful report. Payments by Line Item Report

The Payments by Line Item report is a line item report that displays all transactions that have payments made to them. The report is sorted by: Location name Posting date Batch date Batch number Totals are for payment amount, with a subtotal for each posting date within each location, subtotal for each location, and grand total of all locations. NextGen Healthcare recommends that you only choose one of the Filter 1 date ranges (posting date, process date, or transaction date) to generate a meaningful report. To show the process date, specify the Process Date rather than the Create Date on the Filter 1 tab. The Daily Adjustments, Payments and Refunds Reports balances to the Monthly Transaction reports. They do not balance to the adjustments, payments and refunds columns in the Monthly Service Item Summary report. The Reports User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM provides information for configuring and generating reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can create reports commonly used in your practice, and each report can be customized by selecting the desired columns, filters and sorting options. Note: Behavior such as the system crashing or out of memory errors can be experienced if you run a report that is pulling more data than the system or application can handle. It is recommended to use report filter options to minimize the report output so that the reports can be generated, viewed, printed, and exported without any issues.
