The
Billed Encounters report is encounter based and shows every billed encounter for a specified date range. It displays the data under the primary payer or financial class on the encounter. For charges to show on the report, the charge must meet the criteria selected on all filters.
Note: This report is identical to the Daily Encounters and Unbilled Encounters reports. The only difference is that each report has different encounter statuses pre-selected on Filter 1.
There are several configurable filters available on the Settings List of the Report Filter window. Select the desired filters to narrow the data on the report.
The report has "drill-down" functionality that enables you to double-click on a record to access the Patient Chart window directly from the report.
To access the report in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Reports menu and select Accounts Receivable then select Billed Encounters.
From the Report Filter window, select the Info button to view the following information about the report:
Logic:
- This report will return one line item for each Encounter with a Billable property based on the date range in Filter 1.
Filtering Info:
- Only encounters in a Billed status are selected by default.
Common Uses:
- Reviewing billed encounters.

- Informational purposes only. Not used for balancing.
