In System Administrator, if you set the security access rights for the Override Appointment Conflicts and Override Category Conflicts options to No, and set the security access rights for the Override Conflict with Login option to Yes, an Override button appears on the Scheduling Conflicts window. You can select the Override button to enable another user to log on and override the conflicts and complete the appointment. In the Appointment Book window, schedule an appointment in a timeslot that is already booked (appointment conflict), or in a timeslot where the selected event is not compatible (category conflict). Select OK to save the appointment. The Scheduling Conflicts window opens. Select Override to override the conflict. The Appointment Override Conflict window opens. Enter the Username and Password, and then select OK. Note: The user must have the security access rights to override the appointment and category conflicts. The Appt Scheduling practice preferences enables you to set various options and defaults that impact setup in Scheduling Administration and booking appointments in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The Appointment Scheduling Practice Preferences enable you to set options and default information for the appointment book for your practice and all related service locations. You can also enable interval overrides for the practice. CAUTION: If the interval overrides is enabled and you later want to disable it, changing the resource's time interval deletes all scheduling data currently in place for the resource. This includes: member classes, appointment conflict checking data, appointment search ahead data, appointment wait lists, default resource assignments, event duration overrides, template assignments, and template exceptions. Select the Admin > Preferences > Practice. Select Appt Scheduling in the Preferences List. The Appt Scheduling Practice Preferences opens. Select the Allow interval overrides check box to enable time interval overrides at the resource, template, and event levels. Note: This check box overrides the practice level default interval, which is set in the DefaultEnable Interval Overrides for the Practice

The following table describes the fields in Appt Scheduling Practice Preferences When Scheduling Appointments Field Description Do not allow checkin of future appts Select this check box to prevent users from checking in patients and creating encounters for future dates from the Appointment Book or Appointment List (in the Appointment Lookup window). Future date is defined as a date that occurs after today's date. Do not allow checkin of cancelled appts Select this check box to prevent users from checking in patients and creating encounters for cancelled appointments from the Appointment List (in the Appointment Lookup window). Do not allow unlinked patient appts Select this check box to ensure that all appointments are linked to a patient, who is already in the system. This will disable the right side of the Add Appointment window and the user will not be able to make an appointment without finding a patient through Patient Lookup. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the main toolbar, select ApptBook. From the Daily, Weekly Schedule or Multi-View view, select the resource, date and time slot for the first group appointment in the recurring series. Do one of the following: From the appointment toolbar, select Add Group Appts. Right-click on the time slot, and then select New > Group Appointment. The Add Group Appointment window opens. Enter the mandatory details for the appointment. To save the first group appointment and create additional recurring group appointments with the same information, select the Make Recurring link. A message appears to save the current group appointment and create individual appointments for members in the group. Select Yes. The Recurring Appointment window opens. In the Next Occurrence field, select the date for the next group appointment in the recurring series. Select End after [n] Occurrences or End on [mm/dd/yyyy]. Note: The date option is selected by default with an end date of one
