Allow Disabling/Enabling Encrypted Logs	NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger/HIE Gateway	Enables users in NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger and the HIE Gateway permission to enable/disable encryption of NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger and HIE Gateway related log files including: RosettaManagementConsoleLog RosettaInterfaceServiceLog RosettaInterfaceMonitorLog RosettaFTPServiceLog All agent log files RHIO log files HIE Gateway log files When this option is disabled, users must complete an encrypted log viewer waiver and acknowledge that they are disabling the Meaningful Use and HIPAA required for the NextGen Healthcare encrypted logging process and that their organization, as well as the machine on which NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger is installed, has an alternative encryption process (full disk encryption, etc.). Users must also acknowledge that NextGen HealthCare is not responsible for any HIPAA violations regarding plain-text, human readable PHI. Users must then print, sign, fax/return the encrypted logging waiver to NextGen Healthcare.

The Rosetta Management Console Operations subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to access the Rosetta Management Console. When connected to a cancer registry, the Patient’s diagnosis code must match a valid ICD9 and ICD10 codes established by the Cancer Registry community to identify an encounter for a patient with cancer. When NextGen Healthcare Support configures the NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger for you, they can configure an agent to handle file exports from the Data Share module. As part of this configuration, they specify the folder where files are exported to. To ensure the security of exported patient Protected Health Information (PHI), you should Use Windows folder and file security options to ensure that the exported files folder can be accessed only by trusted personnel. Ensure that physical access to the server is limited to trusted personnel. If you copy the files to a portable media device, encrypt the device or the exported files using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) – 128-bit or higher. This step is needed to ensure compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) requirements for security of patients’ medical information.
