Preference	Description
Minimum Refresh Rate for PAQ	Limits the minimum refresh value that can be set in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR >Task Preferences, users cannot set the refresh value lesser than the value set in Universal Preferences. If the value set in Universal Preferences is >99, then the minimum value that can be set is 99. The value cannot be changed. Any numerical value is accepted.
View Items Across Practices	Enables you to view your PAQ items across practices when you are a provider who has access to multiple practices within an enterprise. You must manually set the option to view your PAQ items across practices. The value shows True if the preference is enabled and False if disabled. You can change the value by double-clicking the preference to display the View Items Across Practices window. Select the True or False value from the list. Select Ok.

Workflow Universal Preferences

The following lists all the Workflow Universal Preferences. Preference Description Email DSN Sets up the Data Source Name used for storage if Replication is selected. Use FTP Determines if FTP is used to store image files. If your practice uses FTP to store information, set theUse FTPvalue toTrue, and then set the following usage specifications: FTP Server– Use if data is stored on an FTP server instead of a regular server. FTP User Id– Enter the user ID used to access the FTP server. FTP Password– Enter the password used to access the FTP server. Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Universal Preferences

Use the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Preferences to configure the system to automatically generate PDMP reports. For more information about PDMP reports, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest ePrescribing User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR . The following lists the Drug Monitoring Program Universal Preferences. Preference Description Initiate automatic PDMP upon New Encounter Select True to configure the system to automatically generate PDMP reports when a user creates a new encounter. The default value is False. Initiate automatic PDMP upon opening med module Select True to configure the system to automatically generate PDMP reports when a user opens the Medications module. The default value is False. PDMP API URL Enter the URL of the PDMP Gateway, supplied by Appriss Health, used to generate the reports. Set up PAQ Refresh Preferences

You can set up the preferences for the PAQ items to refresh when required. From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Refresh Items section, do one of the following: To refresh the items on the PAQ tab when it is open, select On Window/Tab Open. This option refreshes the PAQ when the PAQ tab is the current tab when you open the Workflow Module window or the tab you select after the window is open. This option is not intended to refresh more than one tab simultaneously. To set a timer for refreshing the PAQ when the Workflow Module window is open, select Every X Minute(s). Then select the up or down arrow to enter the refresh interval in minutes. Use integers only. Note: You cannot enter a number lower than the value entered in the Provider Approval Queue Universal Preference for the Minimum Refresh Rate for PAQ. PAQ General Tab Preference Options

The General tab on the PAQ Preferences window enables you to set up custom preferences to do the following. Stay signed on to the PAQ until you log off. Have the first item in your queue selected when you open the PAQ. View PAQ items across practices. Set up the PAQ sort order. Set up the PAQ timestamp display properties. Set up whether pending and rejected documents and images are displayed in the Encounter History tab. Set up how often the PAQ is refreshed. Set up the order results view. Copy document and image signoff comments to linked lab and radiology orders. You can copy PAQ Options from one user to another within the same practice using the Copy User Preferences option in the Admin menu in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Provider Approval Queue

To use the PAQ, you must enable it first and set up the provider assignment and relationship, required signoff items, and operations rights in the System Administrator application. As a provider or delegate, you can access the PAQ from the Workflow module. Note: A patient Inclusion or Exclusion List may restrict your access to PAQ items. If you are a workflow delegate for another user or provider, you may not be able to access the same PAQ items as that person. If you do not have access to a patient, the Restricted message appears under the Patient and Description columns.
