Set up Selection of the First Item in Your Queue

You can set up a preference to automatically select the first item available in your queue when you open the PAQ. From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the first section, select the Select the first item in the list when initialized check box, if it is not already selected. Set up PAQ Refresh Preferences

You can set up the preferences for the PAQ items to refresh when required. From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Refresh Items section, do one of the following: To refresh the items on the PAQ tab when it is open, select On Window/Tab Open. This option refreshes the PAQ when the PAQ tab is the current tab when you open the Workflow Module window or the tab you select after the window is open. This option is not intended to refresh more than one tab simultaneously. To set a timer for refreshing the PAQ when the Workflow Module window is open, select Every X Minute(s). Then select the up or down arrow to enter the refresh interval in minutes. Use integers only. Note: You cannot enter a number lower than the value entered in the Provider Approval Queue Universal Preference for the Minimum Refresh Rate for PAQ. If the value set in Universal Preferences is greater than 99, you cannot change it. 99 is

The following lists all the Provider Approval Queue Universal Preferences. PAQ General Tab Preference Options

The General tab on the PAQ Preferences window allows you to set up custom preferences to do the following. PAQ Preferences window Stay signed on to the PAQ until you log off. Have the first item in your queue selected when you open the PAQ. View PAQ items across practices. Set up the PAQ sort order. Set up the PAQ timestamp display properties. Set up whether pending and rejected documents and images are displayed in the Encounters tab. Set up how often the PAQ is refreshed. Set up the order results view. Copy document and image signoff comments to linked lab and radiology orders. You can copy PAQ Options from one user to another within the same practice using the Copy User Preferences option in the Admin menu in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Set Up NextGen® PxP Portal Refresh Rate Preferences

You can set up the refresh rate preference for the Patient Portal tab. From the Patient Portal menu, select Preferences. The Patient Portal Preferences window opens. On Patient Portal Preferences window, select one of the following: To refresh the unread messages when the Patient Portal tab is open, select On Window/Tab Open. This option refreshes the messages when the Patient Portal tab is the current tab when you open the Workflow Module window or the tab you select after the window is open. Note: This option is not intended to refresh more than one tab simultaneously. To refresh more than one tab simultaneously, use the timer preference. To refresh the unread messages after the specified time, select Every X Minute(s). This option refresh the unread messages whenever the Workflow Module window opens.
