Preferences Operation

The Preferences Operations subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to access various areas of the applications where preferences can be set. Assign Permissions to Hide the CPOE Order Search Bar

For a user group that does not need to search for orders, you can configure the settings to hide the CPOE Order Search Bar. Note: By default, the practice-level user group rights permit users to display the CPOE Order Search Bar in a patient chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For more information on access rights in System Administrator, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Open System Administrator. To assign permissions to a user group to hide the CPOE Order Search Bar, in the left pane, expand the Enterprise and Practice folders, and then select the user group. Select the Rights tab. Expand MODULES. Expand Medical Records and select Orders. Under Access Rights, clear the Add check box. Note: Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) selects the View check box by default, which allows you to view the placed orders in the Orders module. Select Save. Medical Summary/Data Share Operation

The Medical Summary/Data Share Operations subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to access the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Medical Summary Utility and the Data Share Module. Subgroup Used in Description Allow Options Edit NextGen® Enterprise EHR Data Share module and Medical Summary Utility The option enables users to access the Medical Summary Utility Settings window. Allow Updating Practice Filters NextGen® Enterprise EHR Data Share module and Medical Summary Utility This option enables users to define practice filters (for a specific practice) in File Maintenance. When this option is turned on or set to Yes, users can create, update, or delete practice filters. Include Excluded Data NextGen® Enterprise EHR Data Share module and Medical Summary Utility This option enables users to include excluded data and confidential lab information in the Medical Summary Utility when generating documents. View Hidden Enterprise Events

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Scheduling Administration > > Enterprise Scheduling Administration. The Enterprise Scheduling Administration window opens. On the Enterprise Events tab, select the Include Hidden Items option The hidden items are indicated with the Hide icon on the left. The hidden enterprise events appear in the list of enterprise events. To remove the hidden enterprise events from the list, clear the Include Hidden Items option. View Hidden Events

Hidden events do not appear on the Events tab in Scheduling Administration window. However, you can select to display hidden events, if needed. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin > Scheduling Admin. Note: When you select the Enable Enterprise Appointment Scheduling option in Practice Preferences window, the Scheduling Admin option on the Admin menu displays the following two options: Enterprise Practice The Scheduling Administration window opens. Select the Events tab. Select the Include Hidden Items option to view hidden events. The hidden events display in the list with a hide icon on the left. Clear the Include Hidden Items check box.
