Select a location or provider from the search list or from the list of previously seen providers that appears next to the map.
The selected location or provider appears next to the map.
Select a doctor, and then select
Continue

Select the preferred appointment time.
Enter the reason for visit, and then select
Request Appointment
.
Optional:
Select the
Would you consider a Video Visit, if applicable/available?
check box to schedule a video visit.

Appointment Requests Issues
Patients can send secured appointment requests to you with their preferred location, provider, and appointment time. You can use the Request an Appointment option under Appointments in NextGen® PxP Portal to choose a preferred time and reason of visit for a specific location. Provider or staff member receives the patients' message in NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Enterprise PM inbox under Appointment Request. You can encounter issues such as message requests not being received in NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can use the information in this section to address appointment request issues and find solutions. Patient Appointment Request not Received in NextGen EHR and PM Inbox You can perform the necessary checks to troubleshoot Appointment Request failures.

Request Personal Health Records
Before you begin Ensure that the Enable On Demand Health Data check box is selected on the Health Records page in Site Generator. Open NextGen® PxP Portal, and then from the dashboard or the left pane, select Health Records. The Health Record page opens displaying the Visits tab. Select Request updated records. Health record summary page The Request updated records page opens. Request updated records page Do one of the following: To request personal health records for a specific time period, enter the start date and end date in Filter by date range. To request a consolidated personal health record, select the Request complete record check box. Select Request. A message appears indicating that the request is being processed by the practice. Select Close.

For more information on appointment scheduling, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Appointment Scheduling User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM. If your practice chooses not to integrate NextGen® PxP Portal with appointment events and resources, your scheduling staff can manually match the time requested by the patient with the available
