Create a Category for Patient Documents Received from NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma

You can create the document type used to store patients' documents submitted through the NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma pre-visit workflows. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select Document Management, and then select View Categories. In the View Categories List window, select the menu icon, and then select New. In the Add View Categories Information window, in Categories, enter a name in Category, and then select OK. The document category is added to the list. Configure the PreCheck Field in NextGen® Enterprise PM

The user-defined fields you add in Appointment Scheduling are available in Edit Appointment to allow staff in your practice to document additional notes or statuses regarding patients' pre-visit workflow completion in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preferences > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. From Preference List, select Appointment Scheduling. Set Tooltip Preferences for Appointments

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preferences > User > Scheduling. The Appointment Scheduling Preferences window opens. Select the Tooltip tab. In the Displays after [n] seconds field, select the number of seconds for NextGen® Enterprise PM to wait before displaying the tooltip in Appointment Book. In Select your custom tooltip items, select the necessary checkboxes. Preparing Patient Details for Appointments

The NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma workflow allows patients to update their demographic information, complete consent forms and clinical forms, add their insurance information, and pay their co-pay and outstanding balance before upcoming appointments. The information that patients provide during pre-visit workflows is saved as a PDF to NextGen® Document Management. The following pre-visit workflow information is automatically updated in different NextGen® Enterprise PM fields. Note: You must manually update the PreCheck status in NextGen® Enterprise PM. View and Update the Appointment PreCheck Status in NextGen® Enterprise PM

Before you begin If you are using a user-defined field to document the PreCheck status, you must ensure that the PreCheck field is configured in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Open your Luma Dashboard. To view the pre-visit and appointment details, select Schedule, and then select the check mark icon on the corresponding appointment slot. The patient precheck, insurance, reminder, status, and appointment type details appear in the patient window. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM, and then select ApptBook. In the Scheduler Book window, open the corresponding appointment. In the Edit Appointment window, in PreCheck, enter the precheck status as displayed in NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma. Prerequisites for Sending the NextGen Virtual Visits™ Link to Patients through NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma

To send a virtual visit link through NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma to patients, your practice must meet the minimum requirements and configure properly. When a virtual visit appointment is scheduled in NextGen Virtual Visits™, NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma collects the patient-specific virtual visit URL and sends to patients 30 minutes and 5 minutes before the appointment time through a text message or email. To send virtual visit links through NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma, you must have the following applications installed and configured in your system: NextGen® Enterprise 6.2021 or NextGen® Enterprise 8.
