View and Update the Appointment PreCheck Status in NextGen® Enterprise PM

Before you begin If you are using a user-defined field to document the PreCheck status, you must ensure that the PreCheck field is configured in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Open your Luma Dashboard. To view the pre-visit and appointment details, select Schedule, and then select the check mark icon on the corresponding appointment slot. The patient precheck, insurance, reminder, status, and appointment type details appear in the patient window. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM, and then select ApptBook. In the Scheduler Book window, open the corresponding appointment. In the Edit Appointment window, in PreCheck, enter the precheck status as displayed in NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma. Add Patient Insurance in NextGen® Enterprise PM

If you are not using the Insurance Writeback integration, you must manually update the patient insurance information using the insurance details collected during pre-visit workflows in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Open your Luma Dashboard. To view the pre-visit and appointment details, select Schedule, and then select the check mark icon on the corresponding appointment slot. The insurance cards appear. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM, and then select ApptBook. In the Scheduler Book window, open the corresponding appointment. In the Edit Appointment window, select the menu icon, and then select Lookup. The Update Patient Information window opens. In the Demographics tab of the Insurance Listing section, select the menu icon, and then select New Insurance. The Payer Lookup window opens. Search for the payer and select Find, and then double-click the necessary payer from Payer List. Check In Appointments and Set Up Co-pay Requests in NextGen® Enterprise PM

Before you begin You must turn on the co-pay field in NextGen® Enterprise PM through Practice Preferences > Eligibility Verification > Update copay/deductible with eligibility response. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. To open the Appointment Lookup window, do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Appt List. Select Tasks > Lookup > Appointments. In the Appointment Lookup window, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. The list of corresponding records appear. From Appointment List, right-click the appointment, and then select Checkin/Create Encounter. In the Create Encounter window, enter the patient co-pay details in the practice-level Copay field. After you complete the patient check-in process, the pre-visit clinical data appears in the Encounter Details window in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open your Luma Dashboard. Prerequisites for Using NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma

To use NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma, you must have the following applications installed and configured in your system: NextGen® Enterprise 6.2021 patch 251 or later. Review and Acknowledge Patient PreCheck Forms

Open your Luma Dashboard. To review precheck forms such as clinical intake, feedback, and consent or policy documents completed by the patient before you join an appointment, scroll down to Action Queue and Patient Activity. The completed forms appear in the corresponding category. To view form details, double-click the necessary form type. To indicate that you acknowledge the form, select the corresponding form, and then select Acknowledge.
