Set Tooltip Preferences for Appointments

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preferences > User > Scheduling. The Appointment Scheduling Preferences window opens. Select the Tooltip tab. In the Displays after [n] seconds field, select the number of seconds for NextGen® Enterprise PM to wait before displaying the tooltip in Appointment Book. In Select your custom tooltip items, select the necessary checkboxes. Prerequisites for Using NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma

To use NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma, you must have the following applications installed and configured in your system: NextGen® Enterprise 6.2021 patch 251 or later. NextGen® Enterprise API January 2025 or later. PxP Portal Integration Tool 2.17 or later. You must also configure the document type to store patients' pre-visit PDF documents in File Maintenance. Create a Category for Patient Documents Received from NextGen Patient Engage powered by Luma You can create a category in File Maintenance to store the documents that patients submit in NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma. View and Update the Appointment PreCheck Status in NextGen® Enterprise PM

Before you begin If you are using a user-defined field to document the PreCheck status, you must ensure that the PreCheck field is configured in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Open your Luma Dashboard. To view the pre-visit and appointment details, select Schedule, and then select the check mark icon on the corresponding appointment slot. The patient precheck, insurance, reminder, status, and appointment type details appear in the patient window. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM, and then select ApptBook. In the Scheduler Book window, open the corresponding appointment. In the Edit Appointment window, in PreCheck, enter the precheck status as displayed in NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma. Enable Group Scheduling

To utilize the patient groups, group appointments, and group encounters functionality in NextGen® Enterprise PM, an option must be enabled in Practice Preferences. Access NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences, and then Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. From the Preference List, select Appt Scheduling. Select the Enable Group Scheduling check box. Scheduling Administration

Scheduling Administration is an important function in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The Scheduling Administration creates the Appointment Book window and helps you schedule appointments for patients in a practice.
