Patient Validation Using PayNow

Patients must enter their account number and date of birth on the PayNow page for validation. If they do not have their account number, then the patient must enter their first name, last name, date of birth, and zip code. After entering the details on the PayNow page, you can select Continue. Either combination validates the patient and account number with NextGen® Enterprise PM to display the Billing page for the patient.

The Billing section opens on the Balances tab which includes the patient’s existing unpaid balance, if applicable, from NextGen® Enterprise PM. If the patient has an existing wallet on file, saved payment methods are listed.

If the patient wants to pay the entire amount due using their default payment method, they can select Pay.

Patients can submit an alternative payment amount, use a different saved payment method, or add a payment method. If the payment is approved, a receipt appears on the page. Patients can email a copy of the transaction receipt by entering an email address on the receipt.
