Administrators can hide specific inactive payers to prevent patients from selecting those payers during the pre-visit checklist.
 
  
   
Before you begin
  Ensure that the following is installed and configured in 
NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma: 
  
   - Real-Time Eligibility (RTE).
- The syncInsurancePayers setting to display all available payers in NextGen® Enterprise PM is synced to NextGen® Patient Engage powered by Luma.
 
 
  - Open your Luma Dashboard.
- Select the patient profile  icon, and then select . icon, and then select .
    The  Live status indicates that the insurance payer is mapped and available for RTE transactions. The  Inactive status indicates that the payer is not mapped and not available for RTE transactions. However, patients can view inactive payers if they are not hidden. 
     Note: Ensure that the Transaction Hub ID value and the status Live are displayed for RTE-mapped and available payers.
     
- In Insurance Eligibility Setup, under Payers, search for and select the necessary payer menu  , and then select Edit Payer. , and then select Edit Payer.
- In Payer Configuration, enter a name in Friendly Name if needed, turn on Hidden, and then select Save.
   
    The patient-friendly name is displayed to patients during the pre-visit checklist without changing the original payer name.
