Re-Evaluation Charge
If you select the Re-Eval Charge checkbox on the Fee Sheet template for a chiropractic visit type, it changes the visit type on the Office Note document to a Re-evaluation. This checkbox does not alter any billable charges.

The Charges grid shows the visit code (if applicable) and any documented treatments from Chiro Single Visit, except for DME items. Note: You cannot change any charges on the Fee Sheet. You must make all documentation changes on the appropriate templates and then reopen the Fee Sheet to display the appropriate charges for that encounter. Note: If the Cpt Code column for an item displays Not Billed, it could be due to the following: The code is prevented for that payer on the Billing Configuration system template. The code does not have enough time documented based on the configuration for that code. The code was marked as Concurrent on the template. Any code marked as Concurrent will not be billed. For chiropractic visits that require an E&M code, options appear below Visit Type. Mark the appropriate option. This is required to submit charges on certain visit types. Do one of the following: Select the Fee Sheet tab in the workflow bar. Select the Fee Sheet button below the panels on Chiro Single Visit. Fee Sheet button When you open the Fee Sheet template, the system uses the documentation on the encounter to determine which codes and total number of units can be billed. It takes into consideration any payer-specific billing rules configured in the Billing Configuration system template, and adjusts billing as needed based on the payer attached to the case. The Encounter Date displays the date of the scheduled visit. The Ins. (Insurance) grid displays any insurance payers attached to the case. The Admin Tools buttons are used for specific correction needs. They are only visible to users with Admin rights with the exception of the Billing Adj button that all users can see. Note: User rights, including Admin Rights are configured in the System Configuration system template. Admin Tools buttons Reset Charges – Admin users can select this button to submit charges more than once on an encounter if an error necessitates submitting charges again. After charges are initially submitted, the Reset Charges button becomes available for Admin users. This button unlocks Fee Sheet, but charges must be manually removed from NextGen® Enterprise PM. Reset Gcodes – Not applicable for Chiropractic visits Send Gcodes – Not applicable for Chiropractic visits Reset POC – If an adjustment needs to be made to the POC after charges have been submitted, an Admin user can select the Reset POC button to go back in the documentation to make any necessary changes. When either a high complexity E&M is selected or when no E&M code is selected, a field and an option appear at the top of the Fee Sheet template for you to bill codes for prolonged services. If you select a prolonged service option, you must also enter a Total Prolonged Time. Review the requirements for these prolonged services code so you understand their usage. If you have checked in a scheduled appointment in NextGen® Enterprise PM and the patient does not actually complete treatment that day (for example: patient leaves during treatment due to illness or family emergency, and so on.), mark the No Charge checkbox. This allows for a No Charge code to be sent to NextGen® Enterprise PM and the encounter will not increase the overall SOC or deduct allowable visits from scripts or authorizations.
