Configuring Assessment Pages

You can create and maintain assessment pages for adding diagnoses to a patient’s history. You can use the Specialty Common Assessment Config practice template to build assessment pages using diagnosis groups configured on the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template. The assessment pages are accessed throughout the medical record templates for adding diagnoses to the patient’s diagnosis history grids. Specialty Common Assessment Config The Specialty Common Assessment Config template has the following panels: Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links. You can create, update, or copy assessment pages and set default pages for rendering providers and practice. Manage Common Assessments. You can configure diagnosis codes and other items for the assessment pages available in the Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links panel. Common Assessment Configuration

You can use the Specialty Common Assess Config practice template to build assessment pages with diagnosis groups on the Assessment Configuration template. Open the Diagnosis Group Configuration Template

You can open the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template from the specialty configuration homepage. On the Specialty Config Home template, select Assessment from the left navigation bar. The Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template opens. Select the Product field, and select one of the following options from the list. IORTS. Select this option to configure settings for NextGen® Orthopedic Suite. MLTS. Select this option to configure settings for NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. Create a New Assessment Page

You can create a new assessment page. On the Specialty Common Assess Config practice template, expand the Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links panel. Add/Update button in the Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links panel In the field below the Common Assessment Page column of the grid, enter a name for new assessment page. Select a Category (Ortho Dx or PMH). This category determines where the page is viewable from when launched on the NextGen® Orthopedic Suite templates. Select age and gender. To set the assessment page as default to a practice or provider, select a practice or provider in the Rendering field. Select an option: ICD-10 or ICD-9. Select the Active check box. Click Add/Update. The newly created assessment page appears in the Common Assessment Pages grid. Parent topic: Common Assessment Configuration

Common Assessments

The Common Assessments practice template enables you to define common assessments that providers can quickly select on various NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. The Common Assessments practice template is used to define and manage common and custom assessments for a specialty. In run time, the configured common assessments appear in the Common Assessment template that opens when you click the Add common assessment link on the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. In the Common Assessment template, the order of the common assessments is same as the order of the assessments configured in the Common Assessments practice template for the selected specialty. You can click the Common assessment field in the Common Assessment template to select a different common assessments group.
