Managing Assessment Pages

You can manage assessment pages and set default pages for rendering providers and practice. You can create and manage assessment pages using the Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links panel of the Specialty Common Assessment Config template. You can do the following in the Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links panel. Create assessment pages Update assessment pages Set default assessment pages for rendering providers and practice Copy assessment pages to another provider or practice Deactivate existing assessment pages Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links Create Assessment Pages You can create assessment pages used to add diagnoses to a patient's history. Item Types for Assessment Pages

You can use different types of items to configure assessment pages. You can configure items required for an assessment page using the assessment item section of the Manage Common Assessments panel on the Specialty Common Assessment Config template. When you enter an assessment page in the *Common assessment page name field, the items configured for that page appear in the assessment item section. You can add, update, or delete items from the selected page as needed. If you select an item number, the number is filled in the Item # field. You need to select the item type to be added, enter the details of the item, and add the item to the assessment page. The types of items are as follows: Header/Group. Headers and header groups appear in bold on the assessment pages. If the header text is prefixed with a plus sign, it indicates that the item is a header group and there are multiple codes in that group. Remove Items from an Assessment Page

You can remove different types of items from a procedure page. When you remove an item from an assessment page, you have option to leave that item number as a blank row or delete the item and move the further rows up. On the Specialty Common Assessment Config template, expand the Manage Common Assessments panel. Select the page to be updated from the *Common assessment page name field. The name of the selected page appears in the *Common assessment page name field, and the items available in the selected page appear in the assessment item section. Select the item number to be deleted. The selected item number is filled in the Item # field, and the details of the item appear in the corresponding fields. Select Remove. A message appears to provide option to move the rows up after removing the item. Configuring Assessment Pages

You can create and maintain assessment pages for adding diagnoses to a patient’s history. You can use the Specialty Common Assessment Config practice template to build assessment pages using diagnosis groups configured on the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template. The assessment pages are accessed throughout the medical record templates for adding diagnoses to the patient’s diagnosis history grids. Specialty Common Assessment Config The Specialty Common Assessment Config template has the following panels: Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links. You can create, update, or copy assessment pages and set default pages for rendering providers and practice. Manage Common Assessments. You can configure diagnosis codes and other items for the assessment pages available in the Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links panel. Update Items in an Assessment Page

You can update different types of items available in an assessment page. On the Specialty Common Assessment Config template, expand the Manage Common Assessments panel. Select the page to be updated from the *Common assessment page name field. The name of the selected page appears in the *Common assessment page name field, and the items available in the selected page appear in the assessment item section. Select the item number to be updated. The selected item number is filled in the Item # field, and the details of the item appear in the corresponding fields. Add an Assessment Item Between Two Other Items

You can add an item between two consecutive items available in an assessment page. On the Specialty Common Assessment Config template, expand the Manage Common Assessments panel. Select the page to be updated the *Common assessment page name field. The name of the selected page appears in the *Common assessment page name field, and the items available in the selected page appear in the assessment item section. Select the item number where you want to insert a blank row for adding a new item. The selected item number is filled in the Item # field, and the details of the item appear in the corresponding fields. Select Insert Blank Row. A blank item number is added before the selected item by moving down all other items below that item number. Add the desired type of item in the newly created item number.
