Handle External POCs
If assigned POC from an external provider is returned to your practice, you can accept or change it from the POC worklog grid by selecting the POC Changed or POC Accepted buttons above the grid. When you accept or change the POC, the POC status automatically updates on the patient’s chart.
To follow up on a POC that has not been signed off on and returned yet, select the F/U Prov button, and then select by phone, fax, or in person.
This updates the POC status on that patient’s chart to indicate that someone followed up with the referring provider.
