Enter an External Script

These instructions are for the first time you enter information for an external script. Select Manage. The NTS Script window opens. NTS Script template displaying the ordering provider If this is Script 1, the referring provider’s name appears in the Ordering field, and the Address and Fax fields pull from the Providers Master File in File Maintenance, if this information is entered for the referring provider. You can edit these fields. If this is not script 1 (for example: script 2, 3, and so on), do the following: Select the number for the script in the Script # field. Select the Ordering field once to type in the name of the referring provider or click the field twice to select the provider from a picklist. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends that you select the provider from the picklist. If the provider’s name was not in the picklist, type the address and fax for that provider Address and Fax fields. Document Injection Procedure Information

You can manually document injection procedure in the Procedure Type panel on the MICS Injections/Aspirations template. You can manually document the injection procedure in following fields or using a Quickpick. On the MICS Injections/Aspirations template, expand the Procedure Type panel. Select the Procedure Type as Injection. In the Admin Type field, select administration type. The Body Parts picklist opens. Select the body part from the picklist, and select OK. The Sides picklist opens. Select the side from the picklist, and select OK. The Locations picklist opens. Select the location from the picklist, and select OK. The Portal/Approach picklist opens. Select the portal and approach from the picklist, and select OK. All the fields display the values you selected. The CPT code field is filled based on the Admin Type selected. Homepage Template

Open the NTS Homepage template as the starting point for all visits. On it, you can view key information such as scripts, authorizations, KX modifier, and the plan of care. The application tracks this information and, when you open the NTS Homepage template, alerts you if action is needed. Document an Aspiration or Injection Procedure

In the Joint Aspiration/Injection template, highlight the diagnosis in the grid under Today’s Assessments. In the Procedure field, click to select a value from list. Select a Location from the picklists that display for the chosen procedure. To enter the method used, do one of the following: Click the Method field to select a value from the resulting list. Click the top, blank row in the picklist to free text an entry in the Method field. Joint Aspiration/Injection template If a specific site was prepped, in the Site Prepped section, select Yes. To choose a value for how the site was prepped, do one of the following: Click the Technique field. Click the blank row in the picklist to free text an entry. Add Past Medical History

Select the Edit button below the Past Medical History grid. The NTS Sp PMH template opens. NTS Sp PMH template Mark the checkbox next to an item you want to enter. If you select an item with black text, a date field appears for you to enter the onset date. If you select an item with blue text, the Ainf Sp Pmh Select Dbpl picklist opens for you to further specify the item and enter an onset date. Select the more specific description from the picklist, and then select OK. The NTS Sp Pmh Select window opens. NTS Sp Pmh Select template Enter the Onset Date. Select the Side field, and then select the side if applicable. Select Save to Grid. The item enters the grid on the NTS Sp PMH template. Repeat step 2 for any additional medical history you want to add. Select Save & Close.
