Visit Time

You can document the visit time for patients using one of the following methods based on your practice configuration done in the Single Visit section on the Practice Config practice template. If the application is configured to use the start and end timestamps to calculate total time for the patient visit, a Start Time button and field appear at the top of the Single Visit template, and Start Time and End time buttons and fields appear at the bottom of the template. Start Time and End Time fields on the Single Visit template If the application is configured to use manually entered total time, the Total Active Visit Time field appears at the bottom of the template. Note: If you change the minutes in Total Active Visit Time on the Single Visit template, you must reopen Fee Sheet to ensure correct calculations and documentation for the encounter. If turned on, you can enter the evaluation or re-evaluation time in the Eval/Re-Eval field. The time entered in Eval/Re-Eval is not added to the

Require Summary of Care for Discharge Visits

You can require users to add a summary of care for discharge visits by selecting the applicable visit sets. In the Single Visit section of the NTS Practice Config template, locate the Summary of Care for Discharge Visits setting. Summary of Care for Discharge Visits Select the field below the Visit Set grid. The Visit Set picklist appears. The list displays items that have DC set to Yes in the Visit Type Setup panel of the NTS Billing Config template. In the picklist, select a visit set. Bottom Section

The bottom section of the Single visit template has sections to indicate duration and frequency of treatment, to complete time entry for the encounter, to sign off, and to designate who should receive carbon copies of the documentation. Frequency and Duration You can enter the frequency and duration of a patient's treatment. Visit Time You can either document start and end time to calculate the patient's visit time or document the time manually in the corresponding field. Document the Patient's Residential Discharge Summary

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select Residential Discharge Summary (BH), and then select OK. Note: You can open the Residential Discharge Summary (BH) template from your Packet Navigation, or from the Templates module. For more information on configuring Packet Navigation, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. Select the program, specialty, and visit type. Note: Only programs that the patient is actively enrolled in appear in the list. You can select <No Program> to create an encounter without a program, and then add the program later. Select the patient's discharge date and time. Document Discharge Summary

In the Assessment/Diagnosis panel, document the patient's active diagnosis and assessment details. Select the WHODAS 2.0 link to complete the questionnaire about the patient's challenges due to health conditions. In the Discharge Summary panel, document the treatment details, post-discharge support details, risk details, and the reason for the patient's discharge.
