Designate a Visit Type

You can designate if you want a task to fire only on specific visit types. In the Task Visit Types grid, add the visit types you want the task to fire on. Select the Add button to save the visit types to the grid. If no visit types are added to the grid, the system sends that task when needed regardless of the visit type. Assign a Category to a Task

You can use the Category grid to assign an Inbox Category that will be applied to the task. Select the Use category field to the right of the Category grid. Select the category you want that task to file under when it is sent. Select the Add button to save it to the grid. Parent topic: Task Options Panel

Select the task from the grid in the Tasks panel. Select the Task To: Type field next to the Assign To grid. You can specify who each of these tasks is sent to. In the Task Options panel, you assign tasks to particular users or groups and configure when and where tasking happens automatically. Assign Financial Classes to Financial Categories

Select the field below the Financial Class column. A picklist opens of all of the existing financial classes you currently have built in your system. Select the financial class, and then select OK. The selection enters the field. Select the field below Financial Category. A picklist opens. Do one of the following: To use an existing financial category, select it, and then select OK. To create a new financial category, select the blank at the top of the picklist, select OK, and then enter the name of the new category into the field. Set Up Tasks for Auto Creation by Payer

On the Auto Create Payer/Fin Class tab on the Task Types window, you can set tasks to be automatically assigned to a group or to users based on the payer or the payer's financial class. When a task is created for an encounter task type, and the encounter matches the location selected on this tab, the task is assigned to the selected users and groups. To set up a task to automatically generate, perform the following steps: Open or set up a new task types. In the Source Type field, select Encounter. This field is required. The Auto Create Location tab is enabled. On the Auto Creation tab, select the actions that trigger the task. If you want to assign a value to the task for reporting purposes, select the up and down arrows in the Task Value field. The higher the number, the more important the task is. This number ranks all of the tasks by source type. Therefore, if you have three tasks with a source type of encounter and they have task values of 1, 5, and 10, the task with a task value
