Assign a Category to a Task
You can use the Category grid to assign an Inbox Category that will be applied to the task. Select the Use category field to the right of the Category grid. Select the category you want that task to file under when it is sent. Select the Add button to save it to the grid. Parent topic: Task Options Panel

Designate a Visit Type
You can designate if you want a task to fire only on specific visit types. In the Task Visit Types grid, add the visit types you want the task to fire on. Select the Add button to save the visit types to the grid. If no visit types are added to the grid, the system sends that task when needed regardless of the visit type. Assign a Task
You can assign a task to one or more specific users, a workgroup, a provider, or a workstation, so that any user at that workstation can see and act on the task. On the Tasking Configuration practice template, expand the Tasks panel. From the main grid, select the task you want to assign. The Call Name field under the Task Options panel displays the call name for selected task. Expand the Task Options panel. Under the Task To section, select an option. The corresponding pick list and a field appear. Select the user or group to which you want to assign the task and click OK. Under the Task To section, click Add. Create a Location-Based Workgroup
Once workgroups are assigned to the location, you can assign the Location Workgroup to any task. Then, when the task fires, it will look to the location assigned to the patient’s encounter to determine which workgroup the task needs to go to. Select the Workgroup Category field once to type a workgroup label that you will assign your existing workgroups to as built in File Maintenance, or twice to select the label from the Ainf Tasking View Lwg picklist. The picklist is built from all workgroup categories you have typed in. Select the Add button. The category is saved. All of your locations appear in the grid. Select a location in the grid. The location name enters the field below the Location column of the grid. Select the field below the Workgroup column of the grid. Select the workgroup for the location, and then select OK. Assign Tasks
You can assign a task to a specific user or workgroup or to the rendering provider to automatically send the task to them. Warning: You must assign a recipient to the New NDC Added and New SIM Code Added tasks. If no recipient is assigned, no task fires even if the task is enabled. On the Specialty Config Home template, select Tasking Manager from the left navigation bar. On the MICS Tasking Manager template, expand the Tasks panel. Tasks_panel From the Tasks grid, select the task you want to assign. The Task Name field on the Task Options panel displays the call name for the selected task. Task Options panel In the Task Options panel, select the task recipients under Task To: The selected recipient appear in the Name field. Set Up Tasks for Auto Creation by Rendering Provider
On the Auto Create Rendering tab on the Task Types dialog box, you can set tasks to be automatically assigned to a group or to users based on the rendering provider. When a task is created for an appointment, appointment waitlist, or encounter task type, and the rendering provider on the appointment or encounter matches the rendering physician selected on this tab, the task is assigned to the selected users and groups. Note: You can choose to assign tasks either according to location or according to provider. If you select users or groups on the Auto Create Rendering tab, the Auto Create Location tab becomes unavailable. Likewise, if you select users or groups on the Auto Create Location tab, the Auto Create Rendering tab becomes unavailable. To set up a task to automatically generate, perform the following steps: Open or set up new task types. In the Source Type field, select either Appointment or Encounter as the source type.
