Enter a New Visit Type

You can enter a new visit type, but you cannot add or change groups or visit sets; they are hard-coded. Visit Type Setup panel with highlighted fields used for adding visit types Select the field below the Visit Type column. Enter the name of the new visit type. Select the field below the Visit Set column twice. A picklist opens. Select a Visit Set, and then select OK. Select the field below the Group column twice. Note: If no visit group is assigned, you cannot configure a document to run automatically upon submission of Fee Sheet. Refer to Auto Documents on Fee Sheet for how to configure automatic document generation. The Ainf Visit Groups picklist opens. Select a Visit Group. The group enters the field and the picklist closes. Select the Mod field and type GP, GO or GN to indicate if the visit type needs a modifier. Select the checkboxes as needed to indicate whether the visit type: Can be used to bill a Re-eval if selected on Single Visit or Fee Sheet Will count toward the patient’

Select a Visit Type for the Patient Encounter

The visit type you select determines the workflow for the patient encounter. Note: In the Billing Configuration system template, your administrator configures which visit types you can choose from. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Configuration Guide for NextGen® Therapy Suite. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template associated with the encounter. Document Configuration

Use the NTS Document Config template to set up document generator servers and printers that your organization will be using. You can also specify which documents generate on certain visit types. Document Configuration template Auto Documents on Fee Sheet Replacement Documents Document PAQ Settings Printer and Batch Printing Setup Configure Additional Documents You can select a custom document to generate when the therapist needs a patient to sign off for items while documenting a DME-only visit. Require Summary of Care for Discharge Visits

You can require users to add a summary of care for discharge visits by selecting the applicable visit sets. In the Single Visit section of the NTS Practice Config template, locate the Summary of Care for Discharge Visits setting. Summary of Care for Discharge Visits Select the field below the Visit Set grid. The Visit Set picklist appears. The list displays items that have DC set to Yes in the Visit Type Setup panel of the NTS Billing Config template. In the picklist, select a visit set. The picklist closes and the visit set appears in the field. Select Add to add the item to the Visit Set grid. Parent topic: Single Visit
