You can document the patient's past and upcoming surgeries and indicate whether they pertain to the injury you are treating.
Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter.
Open the NTS Audiology Single Visit template, and then select a visit type.
In the Subjective panel, select Surgery Hx to open the NTS Surgery template.
The Surgical History grid displays any documented past surgeries for the patient. The Surgery Related to Therapy Episode grid displays surgeries related to the current episode of care.
Select Surgery Description, and then do one of the following in the Surgeries list:
Select a surgery name, and then select OK.
Select the first blank line, select OK, and then enter a custom description.
Enter the surgery date and CPT4 code.
Select Add.
In the confirmation message, do one of the following:
If the surgery is related to today’s treatment, select Yes.
The surgery information appears in both the Surgical History and Surgery Related to Therapy Episode grids. If the surgery date occurs after the patient completes treatment, the numbers in the Days and Weeks columns appear as negative numbers.
If the surgery is historical and is not related to today’s treatment, select No.
The surgery information appears only in the Surgical History grid.
To add more surgeries, repeat the process or select Close.
