Add Patient Status

In the NTS Speech Single Visit template, you can document a change in the patient’s condition. In the Assessment panel, select the Patient status field. The Patient Status picklist opens for you to select a description of change in patient status. Patient Status picklist Do one of the following to enter the patient status: If the picklist displays the status you want to use, select a descriptor for the change in the patient’s status. The picklist closes and the description appears in the Patient Status field. If the desired descriptor does not appear in the picklist, select blank at the top of the list to close the picklist, and then type an entry in the Patient Status field. The picklist closes and the description appears in the Patient Status field. To change the entry, open the picklist again, and then select another descriptor. To delete the entry in the Patient Status field., open the picklist again, and then select the blank at the top of the list. Parent topic: Speech Assessment

Enter the Assessment Narrative

You can construct a narrative that summarizes the physical, occupational, or speech therapy assessment. You build the narrative by combining text with phrases you select from a picklist. In the Single Visit or Speech Single Visit template, expand the Assessment panel. If you want to write the narrative, select the Assessment field, and then enter the text. If you want to select specific phrases, do the following: Select the arrow button arrow button. A picklist opens. Select all necessary phrases in the picklist. As you select each phrase, it is automatically added to the end of the Assessment text. When you finish adding phrases, select Close. The narrative automatically saves when you close the template. Add Rehab Potential

Select the Rehab potential field. From the Rehab Potential picklist, select the patient’s overall rehabilitation potential that is associated with the treating Dx (Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor), or select the blank at the top of the picklist if you want to enter an entry. To change or delete the entry, open the picklist again, and then select another descriptor from the list, or select the blank at the top of the list to leave the field blank. Speech Assessment Panel

You can document certain assessments regarding the patient and add treating diagnoses. You can also add items in the Ordering Dx to today's encounter by moving them to the Treating Dx grid. Rehab Potential and Patient Status

The two fields at the top of the Assessment panel open picklists for you to document an assessment of the patient’s potential for rehabilitation, and the change in their condition since the previous visit.
