Add Patient Status

In the NTS Single Visit template, you can document a change in the patient’s condition. In the Assessment panel, select the Patient status field. The Patient Status picklist opens for you to select a description of change in patient status. Patient Status picklist Do one of the following to enter the patient status: If the picklist displays the status you want to use, select a descriptor for the change in the patient’s status. The picklist closes and the description appears in the Patient Status field. If the desired descriptor does not appear in the picklist, select blank at the top of the list to close the picklist, and then type an entry in the Patient Status field. The picklist closes and the description appears in the Patient Status field. To change the entry, open the picklist again, and then select another descriptor. Rehab Potential and Patient Status

The two fields at the top of the Assessment panel open picklists for you to document an assessment of the patient’s potential for rehabilitation, and the change in their condition since the previous visit. Add Rehab Potential

You can document an assessment of the likelihood of the patient’s full rehabilitation. Select the Rehab potential field. The Rehab Potential picklist opens. From the Rehab Potential picklist, select the patient’s overall rehabilitation potential that is associated with the treating Dx (Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor), or select the blank at the top of the picklist if you want to enter text in an entry. Treatment Plan Section

The Treatment Plan field uses a multipick picklist that contains items/phrases that Medicare is looking for. You can also type in this field. The Treatmentgrid below the Treatment Plan field lists the treatments planned for rehabilitating the patient. If you leave the Category field entry as Default, you will see the general picklist for treatment items. If you select a category, the picklist for that category appears. The standard available categories are: LV = Low Vision Ped = Pediatrics Ves = Vestibular WC = Work Comp WH = Women’s Health Note: Categories and associated picklists can be configured in the Picklist Manager practice template. In the Treatment Plan Misc. field, you can enter miscellaneous notes about the plan. Enter Treatments/Activities for a Body Area

By default, when you open the template, all grids are in Grid-Edit mode and the D button for all grids is active (D). Therefore, unless you clear the D checkbox, when you add new therapies to grids, they are marked as “Done.” Select the Body Area field. The Body Area picklist opens. Select the body area that the treatment or activity is designed to help, and then select OK. Make sure the grid is in Grid-Edit mode. For more information, see Treatment Template Editing Modes. Select the Item field. A picklist of therapies for the selected body part opens. Treatment picklist for the Item field Select an item from the picklist or, to type the entry in the Item field, select the blank at the top of the picklist. Select the Reps, Sets, and Resistance as appropriate. In the S field, indicate the side that the treatment is performed on by selecting R, L, or B for right side, left side, or both.
