Reply with a Different Appointment Slot

Before you begin

For NextGen® Enterprise messages to reach NextGen® PxP Portal, you must ensure the following in Site Generator:
  • Patient Messaging online solution is active
  • Provider's are configured in Administrator Setup/Access
  • Location is configured in Interface Setup

When you receive an appointment request that uses the integrated scheduling format, if you cannot schedule the appointment for the time slot requested by the patient, you can reply to suggest another time slot.
  1. On the NextGen® Enterprise PM main toolbar, select the Mailbox button.
  2. From the list in the upper-right corner of the window, select Patient Portal.
    A list of patient portal folders appears in the left pane. A list of messages appears in the right pane.
  3. Double-click a message.
  4. In the Appointment Request window, select Send Reply.
  5. In the Reply section, either enter your response or add a standard response.
    The Reply & Chart button becomes available.
  6. Select the arrow next to Reply & Chart and select an appropriate option from the list.
