Delete Standard Responses

To enter comments from any window in the portal, select Add Comments or Add. Right-click a text field where you can enter comments, and then select Show Standard Responses. Under the Customized folder, right-click a response title and select Delete. Note: If you remove a category, all saved responses under that folder are also deleted. Create Customized Standard Responses

In addition to the practice defined standard responses you can create and manage your own customized set. For information about creating practice-defined standard responses, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Configuration Guide for NextGen® PxP Portal. On the Enter Comment window, under Standard Responses, right-click Customized, and then select New Category. A new folder is created. Rename the folder. To create a standard response under the category, right-click the category, and then select New Standard Response. A new item is added. Rename the standard response. In the preview pane, select In <Type Response Here>, and enter your message. You can use placeholders to enter patient information and practice information. Right-click in the preview pane, and then select Save. You can use this standard response whenever you want to quickly enter content. Update a Standard Response Title

Add a Standard Response in a Message

Standard responses enable you to create reusable messages with placeholders for variable data. For example, you can add a reusable response that includes the patient's name and address for a medication renewal. There are two types of standard responses: Practice-defined standard responses (created in File Maintenance). Manage the Standard Response window

While working with the standard responses, you can detach the Standard Responses pane from the main window, and hide, or automatically hide it. To detach the Standard Responses pane, select the Standard Responses title bar and drag it. When you drag the pane in the comments section, a guide enables you to set the pane to any of the positions. When the window is detached (not docked), it appears on top of other windows. To dock the Standard Responses pane with the main window, select Standard Responses. To hide the Standard Responses pane, select the arrow, and select Hide. To pin the pane to the side and hide it, select the automatic hide (push-pin) icon. To preview a response as a tool tip, move your cursor over the response. To view the response in the preview pane, select the response.
