Before you begin
If your practice does not save patient charts in the database, the user account that runs the NextGen® Queue Processing Service must have write access to the file location where the chart messages are saved.
You must set the scheduled delivery values to be greater than the current date and time.

- From the main toolbar, select the Inbox
button.
The Workflow window opens.
- Select Compose .
The Patient Portal Message window opens.
- After composing a message, sending a draft, or selecting a template trigger, select the Properties tab.
- Select Delayed Delivery.
- Optional: To schedule repeat messages by a desired interval, under Set delay in default values hours, days, weeks, and months, do any of the following:
- Select the number of week, months, or years from the preset list.
- Set a number, and then select Hours, Days, Weeks or Months from the list.
- Optional: To schedule sending messages by a specific date and time, in the Delivery Date and Time section, do one of the following actions:
- Select the calendar icon, and then select a date.
- Enter the date and time manually.
- Select Schedule.
Scheduled messages are stored in the folder.
