Correction Process Template
The Correction Process template is used to make a correction to any document that has been generated and has “left the building” or has been generated by a patient or medical professional. This corrects the document without changing the original documentation and notes exactly what changes have been made. In the case of an audit, all information from the original generated document is visible as well as what changes have been made. The correction process has four steps: Describe what was wrong on the original document. Retain the original document. Document the correction. Regenerate the corrected document. Correction Worklog
The Correction Worklog system template displays any patient encounter that is in the middle of a correction process and, in the Status column, which step is currently being worked on. This worklog helps ensure that the correction process is completed on every patient it is started on. Once all steps are completed, the patient automatically disappears from the worklog.
