Step Four of Correction Process

On the Step Four panel, you can generate the correct document, if documents have been generated for shared providers, and sign off that the documents have been processed. The documents processed step essentially closes the encounter. The system may auto-lock the encounter depending on the practice preferences. Step One of Correction Process

The Step One panel is where you enter a detailed description of what needs to be corrected on the original document. Type what needs to be corrected in the corrections field and click Add to Grid to move the information to the top tracking grid. Step Two of Correction Process

The Step Two panel is a way to retain the original document. You can record the completed actions and the information moves to the top tracking grid. Correction Process Template

The Correction Process template is used to make a correction to any document that has been generated and has “left the building” or has been generated by a patient or medical professional. This corrects the document without changing the original documentation and notes exactly what changes have been made. In the case of an audit, all information from the original generated document is visible as well as what changes have been made. The correction process has four steps: Describe what was wrong on the original document. Retain the original document. Document the correction. Regenerate the corrected document. Sign Off for Chart Review

On the Objective tab, navigate to the Documents and Printing panel. When review and sign-off is completed, do one of the following: Select the I have reviewed and agree with treatment provided check box in the Documents and Printing panel. Select the I certify the need for these services furnished under this plan of treatment while under my care check box. The Supervising therapist or Referring provider field displays the name of the provider logged into the system and the date field displays the current date. Parent topic: Documents and Printing

Submit a Request to Supervising Therapist for Review

The Submit to supervising therapist for review check box enables you to request a review from the supervising therapist and sign-off on the daily treatment notes when a PTA does the exercises and therapies with the patient. On the Objective tab, navigate to the Documents and Printing panel. Select the Submit to supervising therapist for review check box. To change the treating therapist, click the field and select from the corresponding list. The Treating therapist field displays the currently selected provider. The Select Task Recipients window opens. Select Task Recipients From the left pane of the Select Task Recipients window, select one or more users listed under the appropriate practice(s).
