The Location Workgroup Category Grid

Add a Workgroup Category

If the desired workgroup category is not listed, you can add a category. You can do this either by typing a category or selecting one from a picklist. On the Tasking Configuration practice template, expand the Tasking Workgroup Setup panel. Click the Location Workgroup Category field. If you click once, you can type in the field. You can also double-click the field, and select the desired category from the window that opens. An Add button appears when there is an entry in the field. Remove a Location Workgroup

Tasking Workgroup Setup

You can create and assign workgroups based on location or provider from the Tasking Workgroup Setup panel of the Tasking Configuration practice template. You can view and use these groups for task assignments in the Tasking Options panel. Create a Location-Based Workgroup

Once workgroups are assigned to the location, you can assign the Location Workgroup to any task. Then, when the task fires, it will look to the location assigned to the patient’s encounter to determine which workgroup the task needs to go to. Select the Workgroup Category field once to type a workgroup label that you will assign your existing workgroups to as built in File Maintenance, or twice to select the label from the Ainf Tasking View Lwg picklist. The picklist is built from all workgroup categories you have typed in. Select the Add button. The category is saved. All of your locations appear in the grid. Select a location in the grid. The location name enters the field below the Location column of the grid. Select the field below the Workgroup column of the grid. Select the workgroup for the location, and then select OK. Assign eRx Workgroups and Category to a Provider

After creating the work group and task category, you must assign them to the provider. In File Maintenance, from Master Files > System, select Providers. The Providers List window opens. Double-click a provider. The Modify Provider Information window opens. Select the ePrescribing tab. For each Task Type in the Workgroup section, select the workgroup that receives the new workflow task and select the category that the task is placed in for the selected provider. eRx Refills Select OK to save the changes and exit the Modify Provider Information window.
