Customizing Provider Specific Multi-Tests

You can create provider specific groups of multiple tests from the Provider Custom Multi-Tests panel of the Lab Test Configuration system template. These groups enable providers to order multiple lab tests with one click. Lab Test Configuration

You can configure and manage lab tests on the Lab Test Configuration system template. Order Lab Tests in the Lab Order Template

You can place orders for lab tests performed and billed in your practice or at an external facility. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Lab Order. The Lab Order template opens. To add the diagnoses and procedures, select Dx & Px. Note: Selecting procedures is optional; however, you must select at least one diagnosis to order lab tests. Select one of the following options: Internal for lab tests performed and billed in your practice on the same day. External for lab tests performed and billed at an external facility. From Performing Entity, select the entity performing the lab test. Optional: Select the priority. Note: By default, R - Routine appears in Priority. Select one of the following options to filter the test grid: To display your custom list of configured tests, select My Tests. To display all configured standard tests, select All Tests. Document Details of Lab Tests

You can document the details of lab tests to order them for a patient. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order. Expand the Labs panel. Select one of the following options: Internal for lab tests performed and billed in your practice on the same day. External for lab tests performed and billed at an external facility. From Performing Entity, select the entity performing the lab test. Optional: Select the priority. Add Lab Tests in the Order Module

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient and create an encounter. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates. On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. From the Select All template, open Title X 2.0 template. On the Title X 2.0 template, expand the Testing and Results panel. Click the Orders Module link. The Order Module window opens. In the Orders Summary tab, click Labs. From the New menu, select Lab Order. The Create New Lab Order window for the selected patient opens. In Performing Entity, select Labcorp. In the Select Tests section, click Search All. Configurations for Ordering Radiology Tests

You can configure your preferences for ordering different types of radiology tests. You can configure the following preferences for placing orders in the Single Order and Radiology Order templates: Configure radiology general settings for all locations and providers by using the General panel of the Radiology Configuration template. Configure standard radiology tests and bilateral billing requirements by using the corresponding panels of the Radiology Configuration template. Configure view types of each radiology test, radiology categories, and body parts by using the Radiology Picklists panel of the Radiology Configuration template. Note: When configuring radiology categories, you can make the diagnosis-code selection mandatory for placing internal orders, depending on the category of the radiology test.
