Lab/Testing Panel
Use the Lab/Testing panel to select labs, chest X-rays or EKG tests to order prior to the surgery, and to generate requisitions. The Date of Surgery pulls from the entry at the top of the template. Surgical Risk Index of a Patient
The Surgical Risk Index panel on the Surgery Sched template displays the details that are recorded in the patient's chart. You can select the options, as needed. The surgical risk index of a patient is calculated based on the value appear in the Count field or the options selected in this panel. You can also select the type of inpatient medical management. Patient History for Scheduling Surgeries
You can review, add, and update histories of a patient for scheduling a surgery. The Histories panel on the Surgery Sched template enables you to review the diagnoses, histories, medications, allergies, and outside diagnostic studies of the patient prior to the surgery. Surgery Scheduling Template
Use the Surgery Sched template to enter surgery-related information. The information can be entered by the clinical staff, but must be reviewed and signed off by a provider or surgeon.
