Configuring Radiology General Settings

Section	Description
Display test laterality at the end of the test description	You can select this checkbox to move the laterality description to the end of a radiology test description in the applicable grids on the Single Order, Radiology Order, and Radiology Order Management templates.
Enable PACS button on Radiology Order Management	You can select this checkbox to enable the PACS button on the Radiology Order Management template. You can also configure the PACS button with a link to the ScImage webpage or the Pacs medical record template.
Allow Interpreted Checkbox to be Auto-selected when Findings and Impressions are entered	You can select this option to enable automatic selection of the Interpreted checkbox when the test findings and impressions are entered on the Radiology Order Management template.
Allow Interpreted Checkbox to be Auto-selected when Radiology order is performed	You can select this option to automatically update internal radiology orders as Interpreted when they are updated as Performed on the Radiology Order Management template even if no findings or impressions have been recorded.
Home Template Settings	You can use this section to exclude radiology tests with a status of Cancelled or Error from the All Internal Radiology Orders grid on the Home template.
AUC Settings on Finalize Visit Template	You can use this section to configure the following appropriate use criteria (AUC) settings for displaying the G-code on the Finalize Visit template. Include AUC modifier Attach diagnosis codes from radiology order
Default Performing Entities	You can use this section to configure default performing entities for each radiology category and the following types of radiology orders. Internal Today Internal Later External

Manage Radiology Tests

The tests in the Manage Radiology Tests grid on the Radiology Configuration practice template create a list of tests that corresponds to the Standard option above the Radiology Tests grid on the Radiology Order template and the Radiology panel of the Single Order template. The Manage Radiology Tests grid is packaged with an extensive list of radiology codes but they do not appear until you select a value in one of the filter fields above the grid. You can use the Manage Radiology Tests grid to manage and customize the codes to meet your practice's needs. The Manage Radiology Tests panel enables you to do the following: Assign a category and body part to a test Attach picklists to a radiology test Assign a bilateral code and picklist to a radiology test Indicate the laterality for a code The Category and Body Part fields use picklists from the Radiology Picklists panel. Enable the PACS Button

If your practice uses PACS, you can configure the PACS button to appear on the Radiology Order Management template. On the Radiology Configuration practice template, go to the General panel. Select the Enable PACS button on Radiology Order Management check box. Select one of the following from the picklist: SCI Imaging webpage PACS medical record template Note: If you set the PACS medical record template configuration and click the PACS button on the Radiology Order Management template, the system displays the Pacs template. Configuring Settings for Radiology Tests

You can configure picklists and settings for various radiology tests. You can use the Radiology Configuration practice template for configuring general radiology settings, picklists, standard radiology tests, provider custom tests, and provider custom multi-test groups. Radiology Configuration template The Radiology Configuration template is preloaded with the radiology codes. You must ensure that the radiology codes are configured in the service item (SIM) library for the practice to bill them. Configure Default Performing Entities for Radiology

You can configure the default performing entity for each Category and type of radiology test on the Radiology Configuration practice template. If a performing entity is not configured, the Performing Entity field on the Radiology Order template and the Radiology panel of the Single Order template defaults to To Be Determined. You have to set up performing entities in File Maintenance before configuring them in the General panel. Mark Internal Radiology Orders as Performed and Interpreted

After you place internal radiology orders and perform a test, you can update the test details and mark the test is performed and interpreted. Open the Radiology Order Management template. The details of the order you selected for opening the Radiology Order Management template are displayed in their corresponding fields. To update a different order, you can filter the orders displayed in the grid, and then select the order. Optional: Select a modifier. If your practice uses a picture archiving and communication system (PACS), select PACS to open medical images and reports. Note: You can configure the PACS button and the automatic selection of the Interpreted checkbox in the General panel of the Radiology Configuration template. Review AUC Scores for Radiology Tests

If you changed a diagnosis code for a radiology test configured for Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) in File Maintenance, you can review the AUC scores manually to ensure you have the appropriate AUC information. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order or Radiology Order. In the Radiology Order template or the Radiology panel of the Single Order template, select the appropriate test from the This Order grid. Select Run AUC. The AUC Score Wizard window opens displaying the AUC score for the selected test. Review the AUC score of the test. Optional: Select a different test from the grid. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends that you select a test with the same category as the test you selected on the Single Order or Radiology Order template. Select Accept. If you select a different test, the original test in the Single Order or Radiology Order template is replaced with the test you selected, and the AUC values
