Review AUC Scores for Radiology Tests

If you changed a diagnosis code for a radiology test configured for Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) in File Maintenance, you can review the AUC scores manually to ensure you have the appropriate AUC information. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order or Radiology Order. In the Radiology Order template or the Radiology panel of the Single Order template, select the appropriate test from the This Order grid. Select Run AUC. The AUC Score Wizard window opens displaying the AUC score for the selected test. Review the AUC score of the test. Optional: Select a different test from the grid. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends that you select a test with the same category as the test you selected on the Single Order or Radiology Order template. Select Accept. If you select a different test, the original test in the Single Order or Radiology Order template is replaced with the test you selected, and the AUC values

Add Unlisted Radiology Tests

If you are unable to find the necessary radiology tests for ordering them, you can manually search and add those unlisted tests. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order or Radiology Order. In the Radiology Order template or the Radiology panel of the Single Order template, select Unlisted Procedure. The Unlisted CPT Selection window opens. Enter any of the following in the corresponding fields: Description Procedure Category Select Search. The tests in the grid are filtered based on the search criteria. Select the test from the grid, and then select OK. Note: If the test is not configured for the current performing entity in File Maintenance, a message appears about the same, and the test is not added to the Radiology Order or Single Order template. Select the applicable side of the body. If the test is configured for Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) and has a diagnosis code, the AUC Score Wizard window ope

Document Details of Radiology Orders

You can document the details of radiology orders for orthopedic patients. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order. Expand the Radiology panel. Select one of the following options for Performed: Internal Today for radiology tests performed and billed in your practice on the same day. Internal Later for radiology tests performed and billed in your practice on a future encounter. External for radiology tests performed and billed at an external facility. Select the category of the radiology test, performing entity, and performing location. Note: The values in Category and Performing Entity determine the tests in the Radiology Tests grid. Category is set to X-ray unless you remove or rename this category in the Radiology Picklists panel of the Radiology Configuration template. Configuring Settings for Radiology Tests

You can configure picklists and settings for various radiology tests. You can use the Radiology Configuration practice template for configuring general radiology settings, picklists, standard radiology tests, provider custom tests, and provider custom multi-test groups. Radiology Configuration template The Radiology Configuration template is preloaded with the radiology codes. You must ensure that the radiology codes are configured in the service item (SIM) library for the practice to bill them. Order Radiology Tests in the Radiology Order Template

You can order radiology tests performed and billed in your practice or on at an external facility. On the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Radiology Order. The Radiology Order template opens. Select one of the following options for Performed: Internal Today for radiology tests performed and billed in your practice on the same day. Internal Later for radiology tests performed and billed in your practice on a future encounter. External for radiology tests performed and billed at an external facility. Do one of the following: To place radiology orders with diagnoses, select Dx & Px, and then add the necessary diagnoses. Note: You must add at least one diagnosis to order external radiology tests. You can use the Radiology Picklists panel in the Radiology Configuration template to make diagnosis-code selection mandatory for placing internal radiology test orders, depending on the category. Provider Custom Multi-Test List

A Multi-Test is a group of radiology tests that a provider can select with one click. The multi-test group appears in the Radiology Tests grid without a CPT code. When you select the multi-test group on the Radiology Order template or the Radiology panel of the Single Order template, the tests in the group are added to the This Order grid.
